The great sex symbol AND actress, Jane Russell, has passed on at the age of 89.   Bob Hope, according to IMDb, once introduced her as "the two and only, Jane Russell"!  She's remembered in the film industry for her comic turn in GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES and for her sultry beauty and amazing figure in films like Howard Hughes' THE OUTLAW, and in HIS KIND OF WOMAN with Robert Mitchum and Vincent Price.  Rest in peace, Miss Russell--a good sport, a great interview, and a more than capable actress--as well as one of the great beauties of the last half of the 20th Century!

Oh no.  She was one of a kind and I adored her. I am so sorry to hear this news.  R.I.P, Ms. Russell

Brilliant clips, Flower!  Thanks!  I know the UMA has a vast number of younger members these days, and I guess Jane Russell is before most folks' time--I surely thought she'd get more comments, if only for her famous Howard Hughes' "cantilever construction" undergarments which came near to getting her "banned" when THE OUTLAW was released!  SON OF PALEFACE is a hoot!  Nice clip!  They're all great!  Again, thanks for remembering Jane.

I was very sad to hear this. She was a brilliant and terribly underrated comic actress IMO...........and as sultry a screen presence as you'll find in her era. RIP dear.
