Maybe best remembered here for THE OMEGA MAN and SOYLENT GREEN, Mr. Seltzer was an amazing producer of a wide variety of movies--his films began in 1959 with James Cagney in SHAKE HANDS WITH THE DEVIL and he worked into the 1970s--one of the last was THE CAY with James Earl Jones.  Seltzer's films featured some of Hollywood's best--Charlton Heston, Marlon Brando--and included such titles as WILL PENNY, ONE-EYED JACKS, and DARKER THAN AMBER.  96 was a ripe old age--rest in peace, Walter Seltzer.

LOL  That's Burt Heston--little-known half-brother of....oh, heck.  Ok, the Elder is getting creaky in the cerebellum!  I stand (well, most of the time, sit) corrected!

I actually knew Walter.  I was invited to a number of parties at his house and a couple of dinners at restaurants.  It was through Walter that I got to meet  Charlton Heston.  Walter was a sweet and gentle man and he lived a long and happy life.  RIP, Walter.  I hope you have been reunited with your beloved Mickey.
