I like some DC, but it would really range into these 3 catagories....1.Marvel 2.Dark Horse 3.DC

BaronLatos35

Marvel, DC and others for me. So color wins...
"For one who has lived but a single lifetime, you are a wise man ...Van Helsing."
"I shall awaken memories of love and crime and death..."

hammerfan

I like Black and white.  the old warren mags, vampirella, the marvel mags of the 70's.  and a lot of the  European stuff like Torpedo or Milo manara.
Have the Lambs stopped screaming Clarice?....Dr. Lector

bigbud

I use to dig any comic drawn by Richard Corben........Warrens, undergrounds etc.......Bud

werewolfwoman

B&W
because i love walking dead and the crow and they are in B&W, the tonal depth and feel of black and white comics just draw you in.
even a woman who is pure of heart....well you know the rest..

tv horror

I'm a huge Marvel Dracula fan especially anything drawn by Gene Colan.  So I like the b&w more and was delighted when they reprinted them in the Essential series of volumes. I even have the original set of Tomb of Dracula from the 70's yet it is the b&w I reread time and again. One of my prized possessions is a hand drawn Dracula portrait by the great man himself.
A limerick a day keeps the Baron at bay

Moonshadow

I need color! I can't buy the Essentials for this reason.

Hepcat

Colour! All the classic titles have been in colour and all my favourite titles - Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman, Mystery in Space, Atom, Hawkman, Justice League of America, Tales of the Unexpected, Metal Men, Sea Devils, Challengers of the Unknown, Adventures of the Fly, Adventures of the Jaguar, Space Adventures, etc. - are in colour.

'Nuff said.

Color works best for me .. Here is one of my all time favourite covers .... I'm looking for one in near mint condition and I'm willing to pay the original cover price ....

"There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats" ...  Albert Schweitzer

Funny I never considered the Warren mags to be "comic books" mainly b/c they were in B & W. Even though the phrase "graphic novel" didn't really exist back then, I always thought of these publications as something a little special.

Having said that, I like my "comics" in colour!  :)
Supernatural, perhaps; baloney, perhaps not.

general gruesome

I enjoy both black and white and color. I really like the detective, crime stories, mystery, suspense, horror, etc. type of comics. I also enjoy Tales from the Crypt, The Vault of Horror, The Haunt of Fear, etc. I have always enjoyed batman comics probably the best (superhero comics wise) I enjoy tons of older comics.

Hepcat

I'm a big fan of the Neal Adams cover art that graced such DC comics as House of Mystery, House of Secrets and others in the late sixties and early seventies. Here are scans of two of the comics from my own collection:

Just comic magazines was what I use to call them. Of all the collectible things I've gotten into in my life the comics/comic art/pulps (similar in may ways) always had a great upside investment wise. I know someone is eager to jump in with an " I never considered their value, I just loved them for..." Hey, me too, but always with a keen awareness in the back of my little head that they were valuable if the right comic and the right condition. I remember my first DC comic had this great cover of Superman in an Olympic type competition against some other strongmen, and doing poorly........got that baby home and got the disappointment of my new-to-comic life......The storyline inside the comic did not follow the cover action! VERY soon after I discovered Marvel comics and I never turned back.......Bud

That would be Action 304!

That was also the first Action comic I ever bought! But it was actually these three comics on the newstand at the same time that prompted me to start seriously amassing DC superhero comics:
