Frankie was the singer and guitar player for local band Spector 45.  His father and I have been friends for 30 years.  Frankie was 24 and hung himself in the early hours of January 1, 2011.  I met Frankie when he was a baby, and my band was supposed to play a show with his band at the end of this month.

This isn't going to mean a lot to most of you, but he was well known and loved around here, and it's a tough loss when the son of a friend takes his life like this.

RIP Frankie, we'll miss you.

A sad one, Bobby--I hope that wherever he is now, he is at peace and no longer haunted by whatever miseries troubled him.

That is a tremendous tragedy.  He was talented and I could easily  see that song being a hit and making them a national act.  My condolences to his family and yours as well.

Another old friend passed away far too young, from ALS, on the 30th.  It's not been a good week.

Man, I am really sorry to hear that.  That kid was super talented.  Such a tragic loss.  RIP.
