America's pre-historic family turned the big 5-0....they've been showing them nonstop on Boomerang.

A classic TV family in every sense....I'm suprised there wasn't anything done in their honor save for the marathon.

Anyone hear of anything else?

   BlackLagoon,

Flintstones rock!!! This is funny! I was just giving props to the Groovie
Goolies, and you posted the Flintstones 50th. Awesome! UMA'ers
                         do think alike.  ;)
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Wicked Lester

I LOVED the first 2-3 seasons. Screw Gazoo.
They were a super influence too. ;D

One of the greatest theme songs, everyone knows it!

Sean

I don't get Boomarang.   :'(

My kids saw them a few times as you could order for free a block of episodes from ON DEMAND and they loved them.

I loved the time Fred had to sleep over in Uncle Giggles' mansion and when Dr. Len Frankenstone and Dr. Dracuslab appeared in an episode as well as the one with Dr. Sinister.

The Flintstones hold a special place in my heart. For several years I was a WB/HB-approved artist for the Post/Pebbles cereal website . . . I got to draw a ton of cool promotions and games and had access to lots of great old reference material. Ed Benedict, the guy who did all the original character designs, was nothing short of a genius.

Thanks for the info BlackLagoon. I was kinda wondering what yesterdays Google Doodle was all about:

You can read GOOGLE in the image (if you squint REAL hard!)

Illoman

We watched the Flintstones continuously when I was a kid. The Flintstone, the Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Touche Turtle, Wacky Racers, Scooby Doo, all those great Hanna-Barbera characters were an important part of my childhood.

The Creeper

Flintstones rock!!!  Happy Birthday!
Long live the UMA!

That's an issue!

I got Boomrang a little less than a year ago and love it! I split my TV time with that and SportsCenter.

My cable company co/carrier could screw up a soup sandwhich...but they came through with that channel.

Great stuff pretty much around the clock.
