I would like to know some movies that you watch around halloween time, and gives you that halloween feeling.
One for me is obvioulsy HALLOWEEN!!! I love this series, i watch all them around halloween time.
I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

Street Worm

Mad Monster Party? every year on the 31st~  ;D

but I usually marathon Monster flicks in September & October,
starting with the silents & working up~

Mike Scott

Any one of the various versions of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, from Disney's The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad to Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow.

The OLD TV Specials were what meant Halloween to me:  A Disney Halloween, Disney's Halloween Treat, The Night Dracula Saved the World (The Halloween that Almost Wasn't)... just to name a few.  I definitely watch Mad Monster Party and various others as well, but the TV specials are what really remind me of the best season of the year.  I hope my VHS tapes don't break, as this stuff will never be seen again.

Mike Scott

The animated special of Bradbury's "The Halloween Tree".

Many movies, some of my favorites:

- Dracula (1931) I've written before about my favorite Halloween memory as a kid. Dracula will always mean Halloween to me.

- Sleepy Hollow and other variations as Mike Scott stated.

- 'Salem's Lot. I always watch this in October. I'm jonesing to watch it now.

- Frankenstein and any of the Universal classics.

- Halloween (1978), Halloween III Season of the Witch

- The Blair Witch Project

- Any good Horror Host Halloween special

and many more that are escaping me at the moment...

Agreed completely with all of these. You can't possibly go wrong with the Classic Monsters.

Also, recommend A&C meet Frankenstein as it has the big three, and has a mascarade in it was well! Watched it this weekend(will post more about this on the Drive In thread)

Also, Trick or Treat, AND Terror Train

Not a movie but really perfect for getting in the mood for Halloween are the two episodes of Tales from the Darkside that deal with the holiday.  The very first episode of the series titled Trick or Treat and a later episode Halloween Candy are very well done and deal with miserly old men who get their just desserts on Halloween night.
You can't kill the boogeyman.  Halloween (1978)

THAT reminds me, ABC FAMILY usually runs Halloween themed shows/ films during entire month of October. Also AMC and TCM Start to increase their offerings about the middle of the month too.

No the one that came out last year with "Sam". It is a Halloween themed anthology with stories that loosely tie into each other. One of the best new Halloween movies in recent years.

Highly recommended OG.
