Thanks. I wish I had a better photo of it. For some reason I always have trouble shooting pics of my work. Frustrating....

If the real thing is better than the pic, then I'm even more impressed. Mike, that is one of my faves out of all the things you've done.

What are you shootin' with, Mike? In the olden days I used two 3200 kelvin bulbs and tungsten film (w/ a Minolta SLR). After a few minutes those bulbs were about as hot as the surface of the sun. After burning my hand (and melting the back of a chair) I decided to go for the real McCoy. Nowadays, I just take the work outdoors and shoot in daylight. The auto color balance on my Canon SXi works well (or my Sony R1 if I need wide angle). I usually tweak it a bit in Photohop, particularly for cropping and skewing, or lens correction. The pic of the Karloff piece looks like it might be slightly off-focus, otherwise not bad. Cool piece BTW.

DL, you are correct: the absolute best lighting is our good sun. I have a Samsung digital camera, 7.2 megapixels, and some kind of shake reduction. That's one of my problems, sometimes the hands shake and I can't get a decent pic. I usually import it into Graphic Converter which helps sharpen the image. I usually don't do much in the way of color correction because I usually put these pieces up for sale and I want the client to know what they're getting.

Thanks,
Mike

Haven't had a chance to do any doodling lately, but had to have a hairy hominid fix.  I was thinking about Scatter and his love for Florida, so I whipped this up - just for him!  Actually, I think that's the ol' rascally ape himself in this sketch!

Mark- you should post yer Werewolf and Duncan Demon aka Bigfoot too.... excellent work!!
