Holy cow, Batman!!! Your stuff is great!!! I love the Dr Phil!! What a riot! ;D  Do you make those custom boxes as well? Nice work.

What do you use to make the magnets and the little figures? The Daredevils you made look really nice. And the Space Ghost.

You don't have to publish just monster paintings here. Here's one of mine that's not monster-related:

Thanks for sharing your talent, and all I can say is "More!!"

Mike
Great painting of Yngwie!  I knew who it was when I saw it.  He is a great guitarist.  And great work to everyone else!  A lot of talented people here that is for sure!
Long live the UMA!

Thanks. A friend of mine is a *huge* Malmsteen fan, and I did this for him for Christmas one year.

I haven't posted anything in a while.  Now that school is out for the summer and and family vacation is behind me, I can put up a few more paintings I've finished.  This is my Lugosi painting I finished a few weeks ago.

Nice, Rickh! Is that oils or acrylics?

Mike

Thanks Mike.  I'm using oils right now, just because I like the time it gives me to work on the painting. I normally use acrylics.

Here's a Chaney Phantom that I did about a month ago.

I enjoy doing the paintings, however finding original images that haven't been used too much is a challenge at times.

Very nice!! I agree finding images that haven't been used is a challenge. One thing you can try is to freeze frame a dvd when it gets to a shot you like, print it out and use that for reference. I've done this with concert dvd's of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Rev. Gary Davis.

Please post more!!

Thanks Mike!  I really hadn't thought about using the dvd player, I think I'll try it.  Right now I'm working on a triptych of Drac, Frank and the Wolfman.  They're on masonite (some I had left as scrap from another painting project at school).  The shape of the masonite made me think of the old Aurora long boxes, so I wanted to do sort of a homage to those images.  Looks like about another week before its done.  I've also drawn out a Chaney Wolfman on another canvas and hope to get to it next week.

RICKH ---Those look great, I like your use of colors.

Back when I was a kid my local library had a screening of the original King Kong and they held a drawing
contest.I won first prize, which was a ribbon.I remember I was a little disappointed, I was hoping to win some kind of cool Kong item.Anyway ,here is my drawing...

Here's some extremely thinly-veiled self promotion masquerading as "art":

Look for this in the upcoming (August) issue of Scary Monsters Magazine.
