All I can say is that I agree with everybody else's comments.  An incredible talent - a master.
He's with his soul-mate Ellie now - may they rest in eternal peace together.

So sad, such a great talent gone. But he has left behind a fantastic legacy -and he will not be forgotten.

A fine painter, whose work was such an exercises in color, mood lighting and storytelling. Just think how often with Creepy and Eerie you remember the covers so much more than the stories within. Few in the field he did, did more to send you imagination reeling into such dark realms of adventure and the supernatural. And he sure sold a lot of magazines, books and even music albums. I would agree with everyone who notes how many do not really understand how far reaching his influence was.
      Good rest, brother Frazetta.

My music is for Phoenix. Only she can sing it. Anyone else who tries, dies.

Just found out, and filled with a deep sadness. I was first exposed to Frazetta's work through the covers and stories from Creepy, Eerie, and Vampirella, and later through the Conan and Burroughs covers.  From there I searched for posters and art books centered on his paintings. No other artist has ever effected my imagination as much, and at least to me he was the greatest artist of our or any age.  To think there will never be any more increadible paintings to come from Frazetta's hand is not only tragic, but almost unbearable. No other artist has had as much effect on my childhood years.  I hope where ever he is, he's found increadible happiness. He deserves no less for all the happiness he's brought to others.  Rest in blissful peace Frank Frazetta. Where ever you are now, thank you.

Frank came back from Florida to resolve the issue regarding his son.  Charges were dropped and a Federal court mediator (since Bill sued Frank Jr. for copyright violations) ruled that all four children had an equal share in the estate.
Frank Sr. went back to Florida.  On the 9th of May he suffered a stroke.  He died on the 10th in hospital in Florida.
I had the honor of meeting Frank and Ellie at a private party for Kevin Clement's 50th birthday (they threw it for him).  They were both kind and wonderful people.  Ellie bonded with my Bride and I got to sing on stage with Frank.  They had a kariokie (I do not know how to spell that word) machine and Frank liked to sing 1960s hits.
He was a gentleman and a genius!

Neat story, Jscareshock.  In the late 70s I was big into puzzle building and of all the puzzles I built, there are five of them that I kept (and glued together for display) - all featuring fantasy art by Frank.  RIP indeed.

Heard about this earlier today. A great talent is now gone. I will remember him from his Creepy magazine covers and the Vampirella covers he did. R.I.P Frank Frezetta

My background is black. The yellow reads better on it than even the white does.

Never let it be said that I dissuaded anyone from posting using Steeler colors.

A sad loss of a talented artist.

Remember seeing some of his work in the old "Creepy" magazines of the 60s.....he was certainly a pioneer in so many ways....
