God, what do you even say?

A legend, and a pioneer.

It is just not possible to overstate his importance and influence.

Thank you for everything.

Rest now.

Yes, what to say?! I'm so sorry, & so grateful for his inspirational work.

I'm at a complete loss for words . . . his work was the reason I picked up a pen and brush.

I don't think there was a bigger name in the industry, or a bigger talent! I don't even know who you'd compare him with? You compare everybody else with Frazetta!

R.I.P., Frank!

In our lifetime, he was possibly THE most influential fantasy artist.  Recent years were rough.  At peace now--

He missed Ellie too much. They're together at last. His legacy will live on.

Frank is gone and with him he took a little piece of all of us who grew up admiring his unbelievable ability. There are no words ...His work will inspire generations to come. I pray he and Ellie are reunited and truly happy once again.

I can't express how much this upsets me. His work has meant a ton to me for almost 40 years!! Ever since I saw that cover of the Lancer Conan of Cimmeria as a ten year old boy. I couldn't wrap my brain around the fact that the cover was a painting!! My older brother was collecting Edgar Rice Burroughs paperbacks, so I had an endless supply of Frazettas to drool over. When I got to college some of the "professors" made derisive comments about his work being "illustration" as opposed to fine art. "Bullcrap" I would tell them. If fine art sells itself how do you explain that each of his posters had sold a million copies? That shut them up.

I learned more about the use of color by studying Frank's work than what I was learning in college. No joke! He was indeed a "master" and now I pray his soul is at rest. His work will continue to inspire, as all great art does.
