You take away the CGI effects for the new Wolf Man and my money's totally on Chaney Jr.  And imagine if it was Chaney Jr the man in his prime versus Benicio Del Toro?  Chaney Jr all day long!

 Chaney is the man for sure, but all love for the original aside, the new wolf is just bigger, badder and stronger the Lon.
As much as I hate to admit it, the Del Toro Wolfman would rip the Chaney Wolfman to shreds.

The Del Toro Wolfman is all CGI and no real substance. The battle scenes look like something from a kid's video game. Anyway, this discussion will be pointless in a year or so after the remake is long forgotten.

I agree ...the only thing the new Wolfman has over the original is CGI and an ''R'' rating. Gives those things to Lon and LOOK OUT!
