Passed away at 39, accidental OD.  Always remember him from "Lost Boys".  Sad.

Sad News. What a waste. R.I.P.

Ironic that one of his most memorable roles was "The Lost Boys", but at the end of the day, I doubt that it comes as much of a surprise. It was only a matter of which Corey would go first.

RIP, and thanks for what you gave us.

Not a surprize. Drugs kill plain and simple. He will be missed. I always loved him in Silver Bullet.

How do you guys feel about the passing of Corey Haim at only 38 years old? I love "The Lost Boys" and "Silver Bullet" was fun. Corey was making the rounds at Horror Conventions, but I never met him. I have met Tiffany Shepis who dated Corey for a couple of years.

Everybody knew Corey had a serious drug problem, and the news reports are already calling his death an accidental overdose. The thing that makes me sad is that I think Corey's fame and financial success at such a young age may have led to this end. I'm in my 40s and I'm still reaching for my dreams and searching for my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. If it comes, that'll be great, but if it doesn't I'll never know to miss it. I think it must be really hard to find all your career and financial goals achieved before you ever become an adult. What else is there to chase? And then what if it only goes downhill from there? Can you imagine working at WalMart or Best Buy after you were a superstar 15 years earlier? No wonder these guys crash when Hollywood and the fickle public abandon them after they've gotten everything from them they want.

RIP, Corey Haim.  I enjoyed your work.  'Accidental' overdose.  How do we ever really know.  Very sad.

Yep, it is hard to really know. And one could make the argument that even honest accidental overdose is a kind of subconscious suicide, a kind of manifesting of that person's long time death wish.

And it is sad. I can't say I'm at all surprised though.

Condolences to his loved ones, most especially.

Unknown Primate

That's tough.  Just saw him a year ago at HorrorHound.  Too damn young.

Wow! That sucks. He was way too young and for a while he had it together. I guess it was just a matter of time.

BlackLagoon

Sucks. 38 is waaaaaaaay too young. Silver Bullet, Lost Boys...and for me, as a child of the 80's "License To Drive" is one of my favorite comedies growing up.

Horrible to hear a person struggle like that and meet his demise at such a young age. RIP.
