"THIS IS ROMANCE"  a collection by British crooner Al Bowlly.  The British Dance Bands of the 1920s and 1930s were considered to be among the best in the world...sleek, stylish and very mellow.    Lew Stone and Ray Noble were consider to be at the top of the heap.  Al Bowlly was the star singer with both of them. 

If you can get a chance to hear Bowlly's singing, you will immediately recognise it as the inspiration for the style of Fred Astaire...
