Hey Gang--

Just back from Sundance in Park City UT, where I met an actress, Cheryl Rodes who is the femme fatale in "House of the Wolfman"
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm451120896/nm2809010

She has great things to say about her experience with the film, and Ron Chaney especially.

She is going to help get me linked into someone to get a DVD of the film

AND she says that they are discussing a sequel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regards,

OG

Further to...

Cheryl also mentioned that the Actor who played Dracula in this film, Michael R Thomas, passed 24 August 2009--more than a month before it premiered.

The Creeper

That is awesome!  I really want to see and own it myself!
Long live the UMA!

Jscareshock

Spoke with John McGar and he said that the film sold.  He will keep us posted with DVD release dates etc.
While they all would like to do a sequel, and may, John personally destroyed all of the sets to the last movie.

I am really looking forward to this!

Apparently Taurus Entertainment has the global DVD rights. Their website does not indicate release dates but I've an email into them

How sad about the sets!

I believe there's much on that elsewhere around here, OG.

Thanks Craig...and apologies for the unintentional repetition. I do not have the opportunity to hit the majority of the threads.

Lord Blood-Rah

I must own this DVD as soon as it comes out.  Not usually one for "blind buys", but this film just looks great!

I've been keeping silent about this mainly because Mike Thomas was a friend of mine and i really wanted his last project to be something memorable and special. I saw the Chiller screening and aside from the last 10 minutes or so when everything hits the fan, it was pretty painful. I'm happy to hear there may be a sequel because the idea itself was wonderful. A horror movie made the old school way w/no CGI and in black & white, in the classic Universal spirit. Considering the budget, the sets were very impressive and so was the camera work & overall atmosphere.... I think it would have been a different movie with a bigger budget and had the monsters been given more screen time. Hopefully this will be the case with a sequel. Naturally, i recommend everyone give the movie a try. Like everyone else who loves classic horror, i considered this a must see and wanted nothing more than to LOVE IT!. For me it just didn't live up to its potential...but to each his own.

Lord Blood-Rah

I'll still definitely buy it.  If not to rewatch again and again, just to show my support for this type of film.
I'm a total sucker for this stuff though.  I'll confess here and now, I was so enamored with the first black and white 20 minute segment of Van Helsing I rode the high for the rest of the film! I spent months defending it to friends, then the DVD came out and I bought it and watched it again.
The spell broke, and I know see it for the unforgivable hunk of crap it is.  The rose colored glasses of the classic black and white monsters shattered.
