I found this cool book at the thrift store yesterday- has reviews on tons of horror movies as well as pictures & descriptions. I paid like $1.50 for it....got it home, opened it & found this:

Dedicated to somebody named Marlene, but hell for $1.50 its autographed by the author! Has the place & date it was signed on the bottom as well. I just thought it was a cool book, now it's even more special!!!!!

I've been lucky enough to find autographed books twice at yard sales in the past.  One was by Davy Jones of The Monkees and the other was by Charleton Heston.  They were less than $1 each.

Wow! Great find on those books for $1 each!!!  I found a Roseanne book at the thrift store awhile ago that looks to be autographed inside, but couldn't find out anywhere online that would tell me if it was a pre-print or not- maybe this means it's real? Idk...

Marvelous, Mario...every thing is ABFAB!  Did  you EVER get a true Colin Clive?  Very rare... and when they DO show up,  they're usually worth more than the national debt.  What little I do know, is that he frequently signed with green ink.  The green ink was reformulated in the late 30's because the original was copper based, and extremely toxic  I do have a Forrest J Ackerman note, in which he tells me of passing Clive on his crutches on "Big U's" Lot!

My other treasure is the opening night program from The Old Savoy Theatre in London, 21 January 1929. The Premiere of JOURNEY'S END.
I bought it from an elderly gentleman who was there that night.   He described Clive as "terrifying and pitiable", and said that his mother cried..."

I bought the program for approximately $15 US.. in 1990

If you want to find out if it's a pre-print, you need to find another copy of the book.  Bo Jackson of Nike's Bo Knows book was that way.  Looks like it was signed, but all the copies had the same exact signatures.

Cool.  Now if you were at CHiller you could have paid $60 for Patrick Stewart or $40 just to be in a picture with him.  Or you could have tossed Ann Margaret $40 for hers but don't even think about bringing a camera near her.

The No Camera rule for Ann-Margret's room was because her husband is sensitive about how he looks because of his MS, so they went with a total camera ban.

The Malcolm McDowell one is awesome!....I want to meet him so bad, I'm in love with him lol.
