Ah yes, nothing like a dual lesson in English vocabulary and abrasive affrontery taught by our redoubtable Professor of Punishing Prose, Dr Smith.

Feel free to join me by adding your own favorite Dr Smith invective. Here's a goody to start........
Bubble headed booby.
"Oh the PAIN, the PAIN!!!"
Cybernetic Simpleton
" Never fear. Smith is here! "
That really wasn't an insult... how about,
" SILENCE, you ninny! " or is it, "ninnie"?
"You... you washed up bucket of bolts!"
"Oh no, oh dear... oh dear-dear-dear... go away!"
Now come along with me, you ludicrous lump, there's much to be done.
"Desist, you cackling canister!!"
Bellicose Bumpkin
I always wanted to compile THE GREATEST SCREAMS OF DR ZACHARY SMITH and then someone on YouTube actually did it, but it's gone now.
Here are a couple of consolation prizes:
DR. SMITH SAYING CREATURE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mF6dCD8n2E&feature=related#)
Dr. Smith 'Creature' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lfp7iKQMjf0#)
I always liked "Ferrous Frankenstein" and "Traitorous Tin Plated Fugitive from a Junkyard!"
They should have just put Dr Smith in one of those freezing tubes.

I agree......Then he would be a Smithickle or Smithpop. Ewwwwwwww.
or a Smith cream cone. or maybe just some frozen ham.
Frozen ham..."indeed madam". Personally I think Don should have went ahead and shot Dr. Smith, he definetly had a number of chances. And every reason to want to.

Hi Uncle Creepy! I think before Don shoots the good Dr he should beat the **** out of him.

No, a poopsicle!

Warning! Danger!
"Enough!
You Presumptuous Popinjay-- You Sickening Cybernetic Silly Looking Bucket of Bolts! You Sorry Specimen of Computerhood!"

"You clinking clanking clatterous bucket of bolts"!
Oh!!!!!! The pain, the pain!!!!!
Tin Plated Boobie
Neanderthal Ninny.
Mind your manners ~ keep your friends.
You bothersome boobie!
Ah Dr.Smith met him years ago at Chiller really nice guy :).The best episode to me is when he gotten that sour apple green hair and became smith the mighty.lol
You bubble-headed booby! You realize what you've done?
Oh, the pain, the pain
Silence, you ninny.
Yours not to question why; yours to do as I say or die
Silence, you mental midget.
Now come along with me, you ludicrous lump, there's much to be done.
Smith is faaaaaaantastic!
Wasn't it his doing that launched the Jupiter 2 and literally got them Lost In Space in the 1st place!?!
Man, the Robinson's and Major West have much more patience than I ever would with that guy.
Though I'm not so sure about their parenting. Will Robinson was like 12 and they left him alone with a hulking robot and a creepy old man...on a bunch of uncharted planets no less! Shame on them! lol
Silence! You cackling clod.
Silence Major! You irk me.
Dr. Smith: "Never fear, Smith is here!"
Don West: "That's what I'm afraid of."

I've questioned this also! Will would've fared just as well in a Klingon foster home.
QuoteLOL!! Only you mate.........only you.
And that, Scatter, is a lovely cue for a song. :D But as my pipes aren't up to it, I will merely confess that I owe it to MAD magazine, which brought me up to speed on much of the US until the internet took over. My favourite article was "Some Really Dangerous Jobs For George Plimpton". The Agnew instalment had some lovely phrases. When he slices and hits Plimpton in the head with the ball, Spiro says, "So I sluggishly sliced the silicone sphere and nicked you in your neo-intellectual noggin". Lovely stuff, I have never forgotten it, and it would give Zach-boy a real run for his money.
And having said that .... I hope I have not misquoted in the end. So... much ... alliteration ...

And how about any number of guns and explosives and the radioactive inner core?
Also said by Dr Smith in the first Verda (IDAK, Crush Kill Destroy) episode <correct me if I'm wrong on that one>:

Okay, your wrong. Verda first appeared in an episode where Dr.Smith purchaced her from an Android machine. The episode with IDAK was her second appearance. Yes I am a L.I.S. nerd, even acting it out after school.
Ah yes, thank you Uncle Creepy! I think the Intergalactic Department Store was looking for her because she wasn't paid for. I think. I love Lost in Space and I'm a thorough LIS nerd, too. I even spawned one of us! And he fully admits to being a nerd.
He he he! When my kids were little and we were eating dinner, when somebody would say "Please pass the whatever", I'd hum the 3rd season LIS theme song while I was passing the whatever over.
We played LIS, too. I always got to be Judy. Unfortunately, my hair wasn't long and I wasn't blond either. Who did you get to be?

This is helpful.........I'm compiling a rather lengthy list of the types of nerd Creepy is.

Yes. Leave the boy with a crooked old man of dubious sexual orientation. Alone. On a foreign planet. I'm suprised the Robinsons didn't oil up Will and wrap him in cellophane for the old man.

How 'bout I just correct Dr. Smith? Wasn't it 1492 that Columbus accidentally ran aground in the US?
Hi Sean, I think old B9 corrected him in the same episode.

I always got to be John Robinson during recess and after school. Karen hated the show when we met, but after being married to me for 13 years....she's been converted into another fan.

Hmm...actually friend (?) Scatter, you remind me a lot of the nefarious Dr. Smith. Where's a laser when you need one?

Hi Uncle Creepy? Does Karen have to be Maureen? Or can she be Judy with Maureen out of the show? Does she have the long blond hair?

Judy's long blonde hair, but as stubborn as Maureen. Sweet as Penny if I've been good, but a destructive cosmic force if I step out of line. And more precious than all gold or diamonds in the Universe. Without Karen, I would be Lost.
Uncle Creepy,
That was so sweet! You can probably write a romantic poem for Aunt Creepy. I'm impressed.
This is my "Judy Robinson", my beloved Karen aka Aunt Creepy.

I just finished this for the Svengoolie gang, he's airing the pilot episode on his show this weekend.

That's fantastic Gillman-Fan, the neferious Dr. Smith never looked better. Love this, very artistic, and exactly how I like seeing Smith. ;D
Here's a funny one I scanned from an old MONSTER TIMES, run in conjunction with their preview of the 70s animated cartoon. If only anything in it (besides Harris) had actually been this cool ....
Oh Uncle Creepy, Aunt Creepy is so pretty! That's a really nice picture of the two of you. Yes, she can be Judy!
QuoteThat's a really nice picture of the two of you. Yes, she can be Judy!
Funnily enough when I saw Uncle, I thought I detected an Anne-Lockhart-likeness about the eyes ... June's long-lost son perhaps? Who's with me?
No one? .. thought not. :-[
Real funny DLT, your getting as bad as Scatter and Doc. In the words of the questionable Dr. Smith : "Just you wait, you misguided mechanical misery." :)
QuoteI just finished this for the Svengoolie gang, he's airing the pilot episode on his show this weekend.
And a luvverly job too sir. Do you use a drawing tablet ? My wife's an adept of the Wacom and I really feel the call to learn its ways before I cark it ....
I love the cartoons, too. They really capture the real Dr Smith. I just saw "Prisoners of Space" last night. It's the one where the Robinsons land on a prison ship and the prisoners are frozen. Robby the Robot is in that one, too. That was the perfect chance to get rid of Dr Smith. Then they could have gone on to Alpha Centauri or Earth. But NO! The had to keep Dr Smith with them.
Yes, I do see some family resemblence between Uncle Creepy and June Lockhart. Do you think that Uncle Creepy was switched at birth? You better check it out Uncle.
