He's the one I'd assume would be evergreen for merch... no specific likeness to nail down (or water down).
The same company makes generic monster candy bowls, including a Mummy.
Maybe, if these sell, they will do Universal Mummy, Creature and Invisible Man. (It would be nice.)

I kind of like those candy bowl holders, Dracula and Frankenstein particularly. Wolfman looks ok, Bride looks weird.
Every place I have seen these Candy Bowls described them as "about 24 inches".
Walmart has them listed on their site as being exactly "21½ inches". (I dislike advertising that exaggerates the dimensions of an item.)

Not necessarily specific to Halloween, but Lego is coming out with a Haunted Mansion set on August 1st. It isn't a Universal Monsters licensed set, but has a pretty good generic Frankenstein's Monster figure (in addition to a werewolf, female vampire, ghost and skeleton).

Yeah, if I had the original Monster Fighters sets I'd probably pass on this. Since I don't have them, it's a good opportunity to get a stripped down version and some fun figures.
I'd love official Universal Monsters sets (besides the one Frankenstien Brickheadz), but have a feeling this might be the closest I get to that

Mike, that Homegoods Frankenstein is either inspired by or maybe even a direct recast of Mike Hill's Sideshow 1:1 bust from years ago. Mike Hill is probably one of the most re-casted sculptors on earth. Its why he quit the garage kit industry. People kept ripping his work off. That being said, if you are going to rip off a great Frankenstein for Halloween, it doesn't get any better than that.

Home Depot has an animatronic Megalodon for Halloween. It looks ok. This being the 50th anniversary Jaws, you,d think someone would do a large shark animatronic of the head from the movie poster. The base could look like rippling water with that iconic shark head staring up.
Interesting fact: the artist based picture off a mako shark, not a great white.
Google David Friedman Jaws. He wrote an interesting article about how that iconic shark picture was not copyrighted.

I'm leaning toward their prison Jesus face transfer. They should have a combo with this and Frankenstein. It could be called their "gods and monsters" deal!?
Don't know why they don't say how big they are. Maybe they don't want you to know they are teeny tiny.

Yeah, I like the art stye and wanted one last year but couldn't find it in Home Depot. Outta luck this year in the several T.J. Maxx locales I've stopped into thus far. I suppose I should just be glad it's not the Creature. And, as you note, shipping a single one of these would certainly be cost prohibitive.

Some new Target stuff I picked up- 3 Blow Mold Light-Ups and a Vacuform Hanger. They have many more items, of course, but these are the only ones I'm interested in of what I saw. 10 bucks each except for the green pumpkin which was $5.

Ordered them all free shipping over $35-- same day delivery if I dropped another $27 which I'm sure Mrs Fish could find but decided Wednesday was soon enough.
I have seen several videos of shopping for Halloween items at T.J. Maxx. There don't seem to be many Frankenstein Metal Ground Breakers in stores, just 3 or 4 per location, when they have them at all.
I have noticed that the Martha Stewart Frankenstein Head Planter is back again this year. It is slightly darker grey than last year. That explains why there are suddenly so many listings for it on eBay - and at a lower price than last year.
Neither is listed on their online site.
Success!
Yesterday, I put out the word to a couple friends that I was looking for the Frankenstein Metal Groundbreaker. They each encounter a lot of people daily. I told them I would pay double the cost to one of their friends if they got me one.
Today, I went over to one of their houses to give her granddaughter her birthday gifts and play games with her and her sister.
My friend had bought me TWO of the Franks. I told her that was great, if I had found them in the store I would have bought them both. (They were the only two in the store and hidden behind some other things.) When I went to pay her, she refused my money and said they were an early birthday present to me, since my birthday is in October.
They are really great. Frank's head is life-sized and they are heavy, stiff metal. The stakes continue up the back to brace the head and all the way out and up to reinforce the arms. Surprisingly well made.
Now I'm all happy.

Yeah, I found very few things I like at Target for Halloween. I really miss the Monsterville stuff from 2017. Now that was some good merch!
It's gotten ridiculous the amount of generic Halloween things so many retailers are trying to push these days. You Tube is overflowing with videos covering these walkthroughs and "hauls". So much ceramic, plush, glassware, and cutesy baby-type stuff it makes your head spin. I like to check out some of this stuff, but it gets to the point of overload. I'm mostly just interested in blow molds anyway, and some of the Target vacuforms are nice if you can get them undamaged. But, I guess the Halloween overload is better than lack of interest leading to too little spooky stuff. At least we have a lot to pick from.
I kind of liked it better when Halloween collecting wasn't so mainstream though. I used to feel like I was among a select few nuts who loved this stuff. Now I'm (we're) just part of the crowd. Many of us do have good collections of older Halloween/Monster stuff though, so I guess we still have our little niche.
Even Tractor Supply Company is joining the feeding frenzy for your Halloween dollars. Found this YT video:
The prices are very high. I saw nothing I would be interested in even if the prices were reasonable, so I won't be wasting my time in TSC.

I don't remember if it was 2014 or 2015, but I so wish they'd started their Universal line either at the other end of the timeline, in 1954, or just pushed through after their lackluster Frankenstein 1931 sales. Total Wine as The Mummy and The Bride- $9 ea-- Total Wine has wine tasting requests at certain events like they had this weekend. I tried both-- the Bride is a Red and the Mummy is a White-- both wines were absolutely horrible. Not a shock on a $9 bottle of wine. So I passed on both. Fully licensed and made by the same folks who made the "Ground Breaker" Frank mentioned above. Like the ground breaker, it has a loop for hanging on the wall. Unfortunately, this year's edition of the standing Frankenstein's monster is the same shade of Kelly Green that they had at the Museum of Science of Industry about three years back. Since color is the only difference in these (No location name or date) there is little point to buying another.

Technically, this should be a New for Halloween 2026 item, but here goes:
Several months ago/last year maybe, BBTS made available for preorder a life-sized, polystone, light-up pumpkin from the first Halloween movie. It wasn't cheap at $90 bucks, but seemed worth the price. Then the tariffs hit the fan, and they put a warning on the website: does not include tariff surcharge, amount TBD. I was gonna see how much it bumped up the price before possibly canceling -- but it was due to be released this month so I'd find out soon enough.
Then on Friday, they sent a new email: delayed until November. And instead of being polystone, it was to be made of foam rubber. I couldn't cancel that sucker fast enough! Changing the material is bad enough, but basically postponing it as a Halloween decoration for another year is unforgivable. That was the last item I had on preorder with them. I'll be ordering in-stock only from here on out. They carry cool stuff, but often disappoint if it's not ready to ship immediately.
#annoying

When it gets to the point I have to start boxing up things to hide in the basement is when I cut way back on new purchases.
YouTube sometimes mixes ads in with suggestions of videos I might want to watch. Lately, this "Anatomy Sweater" has been coming up from time to time. I don't have any idea what they look like in person, or who might sell them cheaper on another site (didn't see them on Amazon). Amazon does have a large selection of Halloween-themed sweaters.
But, I have never seen them before - and they do look kinda interesting.

A word of warning to anyone considering buying any of these: every image is AI generated. I've yet to see anyone who's bought one show the actual item, but there are several elements in the various digital images that are extremely unlikely to be replicated in the real world. If anyone does buy any of it, love to see what you get.

Me too. I have yet to see anything but the catalog image. I wish Amazon sold them, then I could see a reviewer's photo of what they received.
Cool idea! I hope there's a real one that shows up to see if they can pull it off.
I posted this elsewhere, but I want to be sure everyone sees it.

Well, someone has FINALLY done it. They are making a mini-copy of the 1964 Glenn Strange Clinton Plastics Halloween Bucket. The little guy stands 3 inches, not including the bale. Pricey, but it IS the first.

Yeah. That price will HAVE to come down if they want to sell to very many people. I am just in a hurry to get one to photograph and review for everybody.
And what the hell, today IS my birthday - so I'll splurge on ONE.
If they can get the price down low enough, they would make for a GREAT string of 10 or 12 Halloween lights!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ADAM!
