Why are pictures no longer being auto reduced when posted on UMA?



And very curiously this seems to have corresponded with Photobucket not automatically reducing uploaded images to manageable size.

I've tried to work around the problem by introducing the same size codings that the UMA program used previously, e.g. "width = 804 height = 540" within the [IMG] tag, but that inexplicably didn't work.

If you wrote the code just like that, it wouldn't have worked. You've got spaces either side of your = signs. Should be like this. "width=804" Also, you don't need the height.

Hmmmmm. While I don't think I put in spaces, just putting in "width=800" worked. Thank you!

Is there a way to make a "Modify" thingy on every ones post so they can bring back their photos that Photobucket took away.There are so many threads that have been ruined because of their greedyness.They had this over at the HMA and it made it easy to re-post your pics.I do know that their are folks that have posted hundreds or more but I've seen guests looking at posts and all the photos are gone,it would be cool if we could bring back some of the images for them and us. Just a thought.

Yes. You just need to repost the photos at a new place and PM the URLs (http.etc.etc.etc.jpg)to me and tell me where to put them.

Already moved them to flickr Mike.I didn't want to impose myself on you to do the work. We need to have a way for people to redo their own pics when they come across them in their journey through the website.Appreciate your willingness to help with the re-posting but you could be over your head in requests to do more from other members. Thank you Mike.

Yea, me again.  I can not get a photo from imgur to post on the site here now.
I tried everything again, just pasting it seems not to work.  Not sure if they want money, or if it is blocked, or what.
You still recommend imageshack from your 'how to' post?  Is it free?  I really do not post pics that much to pay for a hosting site, so what are the best free sites?  Photobucket was so easy to use, before its weird out, is imageshack easy, and is there a fee?

I can not get a photo from imgur to post on the site here now.

I pay $18 per yr ($2 per month) for ImageShack.

Are you Face Book, or anyplace that hosts your photos?

I just might have to join imageshack if it is only that much.
I am on FB, though I have never really posted pics on the site.
Other than using imglur to place a saved pic from my files, and post it here on occasion,  this seems not to work now.
