Is there an actual "monster" in it or is it more akin to She Wolf of London?

You see a photo of him on the box. If the WM is a monster, then so is the CM. Or maybe Mr. Hyde? Or somewhere in between.

The Last Warning, 1929 - New Trailer:

Looks nice, huh! That was for the Flicker Alley release. I bought the Eureka BD (same transfer), because the only FA ones I could find were $10 (and up) more and that was for ones without the slipcase.

It looks so interesting I am disappointed they didn't make it a couple years later, in full sound.

I like movies that have action taking place "behind the scenes" in plays, movie and old radio shows.  I've never seen this one before.

Is that the Blu-ray?

I watched the 1980s TV movie version, with George C. Scott, last night. Starts out pretty good, but then loses steam and has an anticlimactic ending. '32 is much better.

Anthony Caranci

Since I already had the original Planet of the Apes films on BluRay (a five-film package), I thought that I might as well have all of them. So, Friday I went out and purchased the remaining 4 films:

The Planet of the Apes 2001 (Tim Burton)

A 3-fim package containing:

Rise of the Planet of the Apes 2011
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes 2014
War For the planet of the Apes 2017

I still favor the 5-film collection of the original films because of the special features and that I have a choice of either Theatrical or extended versions of the films.

Every time that I watch the original film from 1968 - it just reminds me of how great and cool I thought it was as an 8th grader walking out of the theater. I felt the same after seeing Richard Donner's Superman: The Movie with Cristopher Reeve. Like watching a comic book come to life!

Been on a bit of a kick.  Picked up the complete series for Beetlejuice, Addams Family, and Courage the Cowardly Dog this week.  Needed more spooky shows in the collection.  I'll probably grab Munsters and Twilight Zone soon.  They e been on the list a long while.

Lazarus

Ordered the 4k/blu combo for The Thing for prime day, and picked up the Criterion Blu Rays for Kwaidan (which I haven't seen) and FINALLY the Night of the Living Dead one, which I've been talking about getting for ages, from Barnes and Noble.  I need to stop spending for a bit now and actually watch these things.

Ordered some more stuff from Arrow for their sale.  Waited too long and missed the Daimajin Trilogy, so I'll have to track that down elsewhere.  But I got some new fun things!  All of them are blind buys, haven't seen a single one.  Warning from Space is technically for my brother, who likes his Japanese movies nice and goofy.  Still gonna watch it though.

The Bloodthirsty Trilogy set (The Vampire Doll, Lake of Dracula, Evil of Dracula)
Dark Water
Legend (I know.  I know.)

Went to Barnes & Noble again and got a few last things while the Criterion Sale was still on.  Passed on Island of Lost Souls as the shrink was suspiciously broken and I didn't want to risk anything missing, and really struggled with deciding on a few to get this time.  Passed up The Uninvited and The Cat People, and got Vampyr, Haxan, and Onibaba.  That's it for me for a bit.  I've been too silly lately with this stuff.

Got 3 of my favorite TOHO movies in this old DVD box set. I didn't see BD for any of them.
