That is a shame.  But at least they did one!

Well, there is one with nice art, but it's This Island Earth art. (Also used on the 200' It Came From Outer Space box.)

Got a couple of old German sci-fi titles that I've wanted for a long time!  :)

They've got a nice under $10 sale at Kino Lober! I would have bought more, but I just spent 100 bucks on BDs at amazon.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (Blu-ray) $9.99
Dr. Cyclops (Special Edition) (Blu-ray) $9.99
F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu - Deluxe Remastered Edition (Blu-ray) $9.99

Even with amazon's free shipping, I still saved $20 with KL.

Got my Arrow Shocktober sale haul.  I spent a ridiculous amount this year between this and the scream factory sale.  Arrow was lightning quick about getting this in the mail though.  But they forgot to put my address on the parcel!  Thankfully my post office hadn't sent it back yet and I was able to intercept.

Creepshow 2
Horrors of Malformed Men
Edge of Sanity
Ringu
The Snake Girl and the Silver Haired Witch
The Count Yorga Collection
Daimajin Trilogy
American Werewolf in London
The Herschell Gordon Lewis Feast (14 movies!)
Female Prisoner Scorpion: The Complete Collection

A lot of stuff I haven't seen and a few upgrades from DVDs.  I'm not really an exploitation guy, but I thought the Female Prisoner Scorpion movies looked good and some tasteless splatter movies would be fun enough.

What did they put on it? Name? City? Zip?

Yep.  Name city and zip.  Thankfully that got it close enough that I could get it.

Got a few more movies from Amazon today

Scooby Doo meets Courage the Cowardly Dog DVD
Herculoids Complete Series
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931) Warner Archives Blu Ray

My nephew has enjoyed the Courage episodes we've been watching so I got this last movie.  I haven't seen the March Hyde in a while and I remember really liking it, so I'm happy to have that one.

Lunkenstein

I received a used copy from EBay of the 2010 Blu-ray Digi-book release of King Kong (1933) yesterday. I am super happy with it.
The condition was described as 'Very Good', but they really should have said 'Like New'. It literally looks like I took the shrink wrap right off a new copy. Not a single mark on the disc and the gorgeous booklet is in perfect condition. I watched the film last night and I do feel this is the best Kong has ever looked. With the HD, I noticed little things I've always missed - like a bird flying off in the distance during a jungle scene. The clarity of the trees Kong knocks down during his entrance looked amazingly clear. Another thing the HD did was make me appreciate the total filmmaking process even more. In some older films, HD can reveal goofs that maybe we wished we didn't see. Not here though. The blending of the live actors with the animation looks so beautiful and is tastefully done. The film is a pure work of art that I've loved since I was seven years old. It's always been my favorite movie of any genre and certainly one of the greatest films ever made. I am indeed, a happy Kong fan.

Got my Scream Factory shipment today!  No shipping notification, so I wasn't sure if I'd be seeing it before Halloween, but here it is!  They also sent me an extra set of the Shocktober prism stickers, which is neat.

Slumber Party Massacre
Lifeforce
Nosferatu the Vampyre (Herzog version)
Dracula (Langella)
Black Christmas
Vincent Price Collection Volume 1
The Burning
Escape from New York
Halloween ll
(just the Blu-ray)
Krampus: The Naughty Cut
This Island Earth
Universal Horrors Volume 6

Happy to finish the Universal Horrors sets and add This Island Earth to the collection.  I got a lot here and I still had to pass on a bunch (Naschy sets, Hammer stuff).  Oh well, next time.

I'm in for a happy Halloween! 👻🎃
