I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

Blood On Satan's Claw(1970)
Beast In the Cellar(1970)
Scream(1996)
Scream 2(1997)
The Vengeance Of She(1967)
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

"Lunch Meat" (1987)

"Six high school seniors on a camping trip are ambushed by killer rednecks who kill their victims & sell the remains to a local hamburger joint. "

Ultra low budget indie slasher..........the inbred cousins of the Beverly Hillbillies stalk a group of moronic and talentless high school students through the "wilds" of rural Los Angeles. Bad enough to be entertaining. Marginally.

0 bananas.

I REALLY need to check that flick out!!

I enjoyed it..........probably should have given it a couple of bananas just for the sheer awfulness of it (which I always find entertaining).

It's strange.  I caught this for the first time a few months back on Turner Classics.  Kinda like what if Disney did a movie about a psycho uncle and a couple of slightly deranged kids.  No, really.  But the shark stuff was a twist.  I'll let you watch it to figure out what that meant.   :)

DARK SHADOWS:

Wicked Lester

Haunted-1995.
Adapted from the book by James Herbert with Francis Ford Coppola as executive director. Neat little traditional ghost story set in the late 1920's England. Some of the acting is not as emotional as it should be but I still liked this one. Rated R for some nudity.
6.5 skulls.

"Insidious" (2011) Spoiler free.......

"A family looks to prevent evil spirits from trapping their comatose child in a realm called The Further."

A couple of early scenes gave me the ultra-rare "hair standing on back of neck/blood rushing to face" kind of scares that haven't been common since I was about 8. Unfortunately, the scares weren't sustained with the same intensity throughout the film, and the wrap-up to the story left me a bit cold.

7 bananas.............but it could have been so much more.

- Cave of the Living Dead (OK, slow moving euro vampire movie)

- An American Werewolf in London (love watching this one)

- Night of the Living Dead 1968 (as I type)
"For one who has lived but a single lifetime, you are a wise man ...Van Helsing."
"I shall awaken memories of love and crime and death..."
