The last week or so I've watched:
"Avatar" (2009): I must've been one of the three people on Earth who hadn't watched this yet, so I finally sat down and watched the DVD last week. An awesome movie with breathtaking CGI effects and an absorbing plot. I highly recommend it to the two other people on Earth who haven't seen it yet ;)
"Planet of Dinosaurs (1978): ultra-low budget sci-fi flick with amateur acting but cool stop-motion dinosaurs. The story makes little sense, but it's fun watching the dinosaurs pick off the cast one by one.
"H.R. Pufnstuf" (1969): I bought the complete series last week on DVD and watched all 17 episodes. This was always a favorite as a kid in the 70's. It's a silly show, and these days I find myself rooting more for Witchiepoo than Pufnstuf, but I still have a soft spot for the series.
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1" (2010): largely depressing but still absorbing installment in the "Harry Potter" series. I can't wait to see how they finish things up in the final film.
"Mars Needs Women" (1967): what Mars needs is a coherent plot and some decent acting. Most of the film seemed to be random stock footage that dragged on forever. Boring and lame.
"Mary Poppins" (1964): I'm more of a fan of Disney's animated films, but I still enjoy this movie. I'm a Disney whore ;)

Survival of the Dead~As with Romero's other Dead films there was a message, this time of pointless-endless wars; be they political, religious or fought for plain ol' greed.  There were things I liked about the film, some of it almost harkened back to a Dawn of the Dead silly/campy vibe.  One thing that I absolutely hated was the CGI; way over used and most of it didn't look all that convincing!  I had this queued on Netflix for a long time but ended up buying it for about $7 before ever watching it.  Not sorry I bought it but would have been if I'd have paid full price.

Rodan
Godzilla vs the Thing
Godzilla Fantasia ( a cool 2 part 90 minute special Toho made around 1983 or so. Part 1 is orchestral soundtrack music by Akira Ifukube set to appropriate scenes from the films, Part 2 is the same thing but the music is played on a synthesizer (this was the 80s after all) not as cool as the actual orchestral versions but still pretty neat.
And Scatter, I'm with you on Avatar-I haven't seen and do not plan to any time soon!
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

Not as cool as when I first saw it but still a fun ride. If you like Gremlins and Ghoulies you should enjoy this one as well even tho it is not as good IMO.
