At Monster Bash, I was lucky enough to see an original copy of a famous Frankie poster, as well as the small toys that were included with it with each order. Look:

As you can see, holding up the poster is the celebrity "Thing" from The Addams Family. (Monster Bash sure gets great guests!)

Here's some toys that were originally included with the poster, according to the dealer that had it-- said he had it since he was a kid. First, a rubber cobra:

Also a hopping black cat:

And last, a hopping crab (the front of the header card says "FOR BETTER RESULT HOLD FINGER OVER HOLE IN BULB")

Cool, Max!
I can't see the pic on my phone very clear but it's not the original 60s version poster if it comes with toys~that'd be a later edtion. But again, can't see your pic real clear. Compare it to the image on the monster fans I made, which is the 1st version.
Did you have fun at the Bash?

Richard;
Would it be possible to post a link to the photos that you provided of the 1st issue Frankenstein poster ?
Thanks

Thanks for the info, Richard! From the graphics, it seems to me that it can't be later than the early 70s...?

Jane and I had fun-- but we'd have had a lot MORE fun at the Bash if YOU were there! (And Terry, Ray, Bobby, Robert, Rob, Elizabeth, Andy, Jeff-- hell, ALL the UMA gang!)

Richard, Jim Clatterbaugh and I had fun talking about you-- we missed ya!

I bought that very poster (not that one but one of that era/issue set) and got it through Famous Monsters in the 1990s while Forry and Ferry were still partnered during the rebirth of FM.  I paid $70 and it came with a hopping spider as the toy.  Told to be a warehouse find frm the early/mid 1970s.  Really cool poster and toy to be sure (some day I'll get that 60s Drac and Frank door poster).

Toyvet, I can't find the better pics of the posters so I only have my IPhone shots to offer. I brought these two posters to work about when I did the Monster Fan project (we have monster show-and-tell all the time at work because I have "weird" stuff). These are the two posters I used when I did the full size color scans of the heads. I have one more of each of these but they are far nicer and I didn't want them damaged so I used the two pictured here instead. Best I can offer till I find the other pic(s)~

I haven't seen dear Jim and Marian forever! Man, I LOVE those two and miss them! You and Jane, also! And wonderful Johnny and Peg!~Jeez, its been much, much too long! I need to get to the Bash again sometime. It's tough right now because Andrea continues to slowly get worse. But someday, I'll be able to make it back to Butler. Then, we'll party!  :D

I'll check out your photos/report~Thanks, Max!!!

Yup, that's 70's version.   There was a small find of these in the UK a few years ago.   Lucky for us  ;D  It may be slightly different the 60's version, but when compared to how much 60s orignals go for.  The differences are negligible.

Never seen them with the toys before, cool stuff Max.

Thank you for posting these pics, Richard (drool drool).  So um, you say these are your spares or "doubles" of some nicer versions?  I would take these off your hands and be proud to display them in my collection if you should ever be in the market to part with them.  Shoot me a PM with a number ($) and I'm first in line as an interested customer!   8)

Thanks Richard !  You cleared up the UK question I had also regarding that find.
Much appreciated !  Now if only I can get my staff to even look at the monster stuff delivered to my place !  Thanks again

I get it, Jeff ~ you want your name on the posters in case I fall down the basement stairs, huh?
So noted ;)

Greg, you should have my cat, Mr. Tat, for a patient.
He LOVES monster toys!!!
In fact he will paw / lick / chew ANY monster toy he can get his claws on. He is a true patron of the monster arts and enjoys variety. He would be pleased to assess your collection.

Richard, get copies made and age 'em some. Let Terry and Jeff make off with those, while *I* keep the originals safe in faraway Pennsylvania!

Anything to help you, my friend.

"In case" or "when" - it's all semantics, really.  As long as I'm in their somewhere.   :D  And for the record, a BIG J/K and a bigger HEAVEN FORBID on your checking out any time soon or in that manner!
