Elizabeth the portrait Ms Nurmi did of Vincent was excellent. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of it because I assumed it was probably not allowed. I should have asked..Kicking myself now! Speaking of photos I'm going to try to post ours now. We didn't take many..Also sorry if they are too big. I shrunk them to the size I like to use but they may be too big for this site..

Wow! Thank you for putting those up, Whisper... those are great!

I love how in pictures everyone is wearing such a big smile at Monster Bash.

That giant King Kong figure is a hoot with the little figure in it's mouth!

Well, don't feel badly about that-- with private collection stuff, art, images like that ... it's best to err on the side of caution!

Little Vampira aside here...

Ms. Nurmi's niece has been running the Vampira Facebook page these days, and (as she works through things she has inherited) has been kind enough to scan and post some of Maila's art, which is just stunning.

If you are on Facebook, and not already a fan, I recommend linking up and taking a peek.

Not sure if this link will work, but here is the page to the art she has up:

That little figure is Bash organizer Ron Adams!

Here's Bash pics of UMA member Bobby Gammons (now mostly quiet, but whose posts in the Yahoo days were a valuable part of the ongoing conversations), his wife Melissa, and their brood of creepy creatures:

Looking at the pic of Melissa, the edge of her shirt resting against the table made me think of her being a puppet too! ;)

Both Bobby and Melissa were very, very nice to chat with, as was Whisper and Bill, of course. I wish I had tried to get all the UMA members attending to do a group photo.

Some cool tats seen at the Bash:

Me and Jane with Famous Monsters publisher Phil Kim at dinner (outside of a better restaurant than the one in the hotel!):

Notice the shirt I have on...

Thanks all for sharing those photos.  I was not able to attend this year.

There was live music and dancing for the first time at the Bash, courtesy of Mark Statler and His Creepy Classic Chiller Band. (Composer and organist for silent horror films Kevin Slick sat in with them.)

Actress Susan Gordon (Attack of the Puppet People) energetically did every kind of dance you can think of-- she really should be on Dancing With the Stars! But I most enjoyed seeing her slow dance with her director dad Bert I. Gordon (Food of the Gods) during "Ladies' Choice":

Enjoying the pics, thanks folks!

Glad you like 'em!

I'm very happy Whisper is sharing her pictures too!

Speaking of Bert Gordon, he was very approachable and enjoyed talking to fans, including my wife Jane (she took the picture). Here's "Mr. B.I.G." in the lobby, next to his youngest daughter, joining some Bash-goers for an informal chat:

Right now, I'm enjoying a copy of his book that I bought at the Bash.

Celebrity doll Barbie (now appearing in Toy Story 3) makes an appearance with Kong, and shows she is a Monster Bash fan:

The friendly and sweet folks of Penny Dreadful's Shilling Shockers were at Bash, and I was delighted to see them. Penny and Garou:

Here, Garou reacts to my garlic chewing-gum breath:

Actress/producer Rebecca Paiva, lovely and fetching as always:

(Garou has been known to fetch sometimes...)

Manfred Von Bulow proudly displays his medal for de-lousing Garou:
