That medium brown Bigfoot is what Chaka would look like if played by Will Ferrel.

I thought I'd post here (recent "finds" of sorts)~
A 60s "Frankenstein trophy" model contest award kit ~and~ an AWARD WINNING (should be, anyway!!!) Adam Chiet Glen Strange Monster. This picture does NOT do justice to what an impressive work of art Adam has created! If anyone is thinking of getting one of Adam Chiet's monsters, don't hesitate- you won't be disappointed!

Hey Richard... I'm so pleased you love your new Frankie...:) I just noticed that with the flash on your camera, the clothing looks like it's made of plastic, as if it's all sculpted... cool effect...:) Now all I have to do is say the magic incantation, and Frank should bring me all those wonderful collectibles from MN....:) Have a wonderful weekend!

WOW! Great stuff, Richard!  I have never seen the full award kit; just individual pieces.  That is very high on my list...congratulations!

Been dry here but I couldn't pass up this Value Village find. Despite the Creature, Wolfman and Lugosi Dracula on the cover, I don't think it's licensed.

I bought a bag of candy at The Dollar Tree and some of the individual little boxes had Universal Monsters on them. Not much, but kind of a neat little bonus that I wasn't expecting.

Thanks for the heads up! I picked up 2 bags tonight and got the 4 you have plus a Wolfman one. Does anyone know how many different boxes there are?

aura of foreboding

Last time these were at the Dollar Tree (a few years back), and Shopko for that matter (in the mid-90s), the set of 5 included Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, The Creature, The Wolf Man, and the Phantom.  The Mummy hasn't surfaced, but one never knows.  Perhaps one day he will...

Why do these look familiar to me? Was this style of box released back in the '60s? I know I've never seen them in person but I know I've seen them somewhere besides here.

From the 60's Gallery right here at the UMA-

At some point they decided to stop producing the Mummy box but I think the rest of the boxes have been in reproduced all thru out the 70's, 80's, 90's and current decade.
