If you look at the clothes "Herman" is wearing, it appears that this is set in the 1960s.

As I've said before, I can "sorta" understand their style being in the 60's since in the original series they were described as "old fashioned" which is what the 60's can be described as today. Now, that doesn't explain why Marilyn is in 60's garb too, but at this point I really don't care -_-

And that Boy Scout uniform Eddie is wearing looks vintage, not modern. Could this abomination actually be set in the '60s? Are they really going to go to those lengths to erase the original "Munsters" from the collective consciousness?

If this is being set back in the 1960's, it's beginning to sound more and more like Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows", where you trash a show that has a following, by removing most of the elements that gave the show a fan base, and ridicule the era they came from at the same time.  So what will some of the episodes include?   The people of Mockingbird Heights oppose bussing, the Munsters disagree, and hilarity ensues?
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

Any sense of "old fashioned" in the original show was to play up the fact that the Munsters were wearing the costumes worn by the original monsters.  That isn't the case here, so the only thing it can logically be is a '60s setting, unless they are going with the approach that these folks are not normal because they dress like they are in the 1960s, making them less like monsters and more like members of The Brady Bunch in the movie.

That's what I'm saying. I'm not saying its a good idea (in fact, its terrible), but I'm trying to rationalize their poor decision making :P Bad choice on my part lol
