Worked as the PA announcer for the Yankees for 56 years, I believe.  Passed away at 99.  Iconic voice even this Red Sox fan could appreciate.

Bob Sheppard is as intergral a part of the NY Yankees as any player or manager over the years.

The Yankees, their fans and baseball lost a great one.
