Mani-Yack Maniac
« on: February 29, 2008, 01:27:20 PM »
More experimentation w/my camera has resulted in these pics of my Mani- Yack collection. Still need the Wolfman to round it out and these things are becoming increasingly difficult to find in the package. LOVE to look at them all hanging on the wall over my computer!
Enjoy and have a great weekend,

Really? Seems like I hardly ever see just the transfers for sale. I figured if they were removed from the package they got ironed on to something.

Wish my Creature card was as white as that one!

There was a warehouse find of them in the 90's, which accounts for most of those that are on the market.  I think they would be much harder to find if that had not happened.  They are tough though.  I took me several years to find all of them.  Frank was hardest for me.

Jeeze! I'd hate to think of what they'd be going for if it wasn't for that, then! 100+ bucks for a nice minty one is bad enough!

Yeah, I agree.  Of course the Creech is the high one.  The Phantom seems to be the most common.  My $125 bid for Frank has been topped several times, but I finally found one for $50 :D

Wow! Being a part of this site is like going to school.  I learn something new all the time...I didn't know about the warehouse find. That's probably when i scored everyone of these Mani-Yacks, except for The Mummy on ebay. [well, maybe a little later]  I was really lucky with the Creech  and got it for a little under a hundred bucks. I'm still finding The Wolfman a tough one to find. Thanks for the info!

What a fine collection! I remember going to a department store called McCrory's back when I was a kid with mom and dad, and discovering those cool monster transfers. They bought me one of each. Mom set up the ironing board and transferred them onto my white bed sheet and pillow cases! She kept using the transfers over and over until the images were too faint to use anymore. I wish I still had my custom monster sheets and pillows! Thanks for sharing, and hope that you find Wolfman to complete your collection.

OK Folks, here's some Mani-Yack Iron On fun for all...

These were on the web as of a couple years ago, I think they are gone from wherever they were at the time...  and I'm sure many saved these at the time, but if you didn't....

These are large graphic images of the Mani-Yack transfers.  If you save them full size to your computer, and have an ink jet printer, you can get printable transfer paper at most office supply stores (Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, etc) and make your own Mani-Yack t-shirts (and sheets!)

Toy Ranch & Gasport- thank you for posting those images!  Not only was I happy to find them, but they are the way I found this great site (google search for Mani-yacks).

Thanks again!
