With yesterday being the Anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson, I've experienced a deep sadness today.

Controversies aside, the man was an Icon of the Music and Entertainment Industry, and no one can say that he had no talent.

We were heavily involved in the Production of "This is It" when he passed, and to say that it all got weird when it happened, is an understatement.

From our office, one can see Forest Lawn where one of the services took place, and FL Glendale, packed with fans right now, is a 12 min drive from my office.

in 2009, My Home Haunt was a tribute to him, with a "Thriller" Singing likeness, and a Victorian era creature doing the Vincent Price Wrap exclusive which had all three verses, not usually heard, from the original recording session.

Although I've never purchased any of his music, movies, etc. I totally understand how important he was to the artistic world. My dad used to tease me and my siblings about how those Jackson kids are making money out there! He would use them as good examples of how they took care of their parents and drove us crazy bragging about how talented they were! We lived in Mich. during the Motown explosion, so the Jackson family was on every channel. So I think I was resentful early on, because I had no musical talent!  But when I was in high school, Off the Wall came out and every kid went nuts over it!  I couldn't believe how popular it was, everyone in my school owned a copy. Except me, of course because I was still mad at him    But no matter what happened after the 70s, I still knew that MJ was one of the biggest stars on the planet, and it was terrible how his life ended.

MJ was definitely an icon, and was extremely talented. RIP Michael.

BTW OG, Nancy and I spend an inordinate amount of time in Forest Lawn HH whenever we're in town.

His biological kids loved him. He was VERY eccentric. The guy has been gone a year. Let IT and him R.I.P.
