Tsukuda Jumbo Hobby Mummy 1984
« on: January 23, 2011, 01:25:58 PM »
Here is the last of my Tsukudas-Kharis.
Here he is before:

Here he is in progress on the bench. He has a base coat of black and is drybrushed with dark greay, brown on his bandages, light green on his face and hand and all over with white

And here is the finished product!

And finally, here is a group shot of all 4 kits

Beautiful work, great collection! Tsukuda also did a Metaluna Mutant that was released in series one with the Creature.

Really nice work, your upgrades are outstanding. Your painting has brought out the monster goodness of these kits.
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred.

Very cool looking.  Awesome job on the repaints. I love that last group shot of all them together.

Thanks guys, glad you like them! I picked these guys up in 88 or 89 when I was a senior in high school. My uncle and I took a weekend trip down to Rare Planes Detectives hobby shop in New Jersey. I picked up these guys, the Horizon Dracula and a Kaiyodo Ultraman vs Neronga set as well as dark blue repros of the Marx Mummy and Hunchback. My Uncle bought a ton of WW2 armor kits-we really had his truck packed full on the way home! The only thing I regret is not picking up the Metaluna Mutant too. They had him there, but I passed on him at the time. Doh! :o
