ClassicMonsterCollector

Hey all, I've visited this site for years and am finally taking the plunge to get more active in the community.  I'm George and I live in Minnesota.  I'm a life-long Monster Kid like most here but I have only recently begun collecting monster toys.  I've been a comic book and Famous Monster collector since the 1970s.

I also recently decided to put my passions to work and launched a site called CollectingClassicMonsters.com -- it's my digital clubhouse for monster kids and collectors of both vintage and modern merchandise from classic monsters, vintage fantasy and retro science fiction.  I hope you'll check it out and let me know what you think.

Look forward to getting to know everyone here

Scumbags And Superstars

I've been on the board before years ago. I didn't post too much just mostly looked at the pics. I wanted to sign back in, but didn't remember my password.  I think it was attached to an old email account & I don't remember my password for that either(I have a password remembering problem) Long story short: I started a new account. Many of you guys might know me from Instagram. My name is George & I run a clothing brand called Scumbags & Superstars. I post a lot of my collection on our Instagram page. I've been collecting monster toys ever since I was kid in the 80s. And my obsession gets worse as the years go on. I love this board & I want to become more active in the discussions. I enjoy reading & learning about some of the lineage of these toys. And I love all the pics!!

Hi. I go by the_last_gunslinger online (based off of Stephen King's Dark Tower series of novels) but my real name is Andrew. I started an account on this site back in 2012, but didn't post a thing until recently.

I'm pretty new to collecting, but am a lifelong fan of horror and monsters. I look forward to gleaning valuable insight into the wonderful world of monster collecting and expect to learn a lot.

RJ Sevin

Hey, there, everyone. This place is awesome. I have been lurking for some time, but decided to jump in with both feet, as I've finally decided to give in to a lifelong desire to make masks. I've wanted to since I was twelve. I'm forty. Time to get moving!

I've become obsessed with the Shock Monster, and thanks to this page and posts by experts like Ray Castile, I'm in Monster Mask Heaven.

I had quite a mask collection as a Monster Kid growing up in the suburbs of the New Orleans West Bank in the late70s/early 80s. They're all gone now, alas, but I've been able to track down photos of many of them through monstermask.blogspot.com. I assumed my favorite masks were from Don Post, but, as it turns out, most of them were from Be Something. Gotta love that Visitor From Space!

Here I am, way back when! Any idea who made this mask?

Long ago, my mother told me that God knew how many hairs were on my head. That may be, but I'll bet He doesn't know how many Frankenstein masks there have been.

SkullBoy

Greetings fiends! Stumbled on this fantastic forum the other day and just had the urge to join up. Currently creating a small run of vacuform monster masks with sculpts by my girlfriend. Made my own vacuform box late last year and am finally getting around to buckling down and cranking out some masks! Already created some custom header cards to go along with them once they get bagged up. Good things are coming!  sfsrefs

Where would be the best place on this forum to post them to? The Mask and bust section?
