New member just saying hi. That's my real name Steve Kelley. I have very fond memories of watching Creature Double Feature on Saturday afternoons as a kid. Among other things I am an artist and an author. Most notably is my Star Trek The Collectibles book which I authored in 2008 which featured items completely from my own vast personal collection followed by my magazine of the same name. I am also an avid Aurora Prehistoric Scenes model collector.
I look forward to chatting with many of you.

Its taken me long enough to create a presence here on UMA.  Not that I hadn't earlier found and appreciated this forum just that I generally procrastinate everything.

Well, I am Mike and a long time collector of toys and generally cool stuff.  I love little rubber and plastic monsters or aliens.  Started out collecting cereal premiums in the late 1960's and '70s.   I kept a pretty good photo gallery of my collection on Flick'r until the Yahoo team made so many drastic changes to the site.  Now, I don't add to it much but you can still see my collection at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/astronit/

I hope that I can contribute some useful information on this forum but looking through the many threads and posts that have accumulated here it appears most of the topics have been covered and answered by many qualified monster enthusiasts.

Don't worry. We can never have too many contributors. We're far from knowing it all.

You should post at least some of the pictures of your collection in the Monster Room thread:

New "old" blood here. Finally joined after lurking for years. I've collected monster stuff of one form or another since I was knee high to a lab monster. I was a full time toy dealer for 15 years and now just slave to the man to pay for my addictions.

Currently collect vintage Halloween, Disney Haunted Mansion, Monster of all sorts (Universal and others, but I'm picky), Haunted Houses and vintage drums. Recently went on a binge of Japanese vinyl figures that were modeled after 50s B-movie monsters.

Looking forward to entering into some monstrous conversation on here.

Welcome to the UMA, Dr. T!

What kinds of toys did you deal in? Did you have a store, or just do shows?
