Meet Roxie one of my golden retrievers, four and a half  years ago she developed a growth on her leg, a biopsy determined it was cancer, first she underwent an operation to remove the growth, which left a gaping wound that needed constant care, It took two months to heal to the point where she could start the radiation treatments, nineteen straight treatments with weekends off, two hour round trip ride to the vet hospital and having her knocked out for an hour to get the radiation. once that was over she had to take low dose chemo pills for one year, well it's been three years since she took her last chemo pill and I'm thrilled to say she is still cancer free.

A quick word about giving dogs pills; I had to give my Samoyed medication and he would just spit the pill out no matter what. So I was talking to my vet and he said to put the pill in a piece of spam 2-3 hours before. The spam breaks down the pill and absorbs it so you can't eat around it. Think of dunking a cookie in milk and then trying to only eat the cookie part. Worked like a charm.

My sister in law cought this feral cat and gave it to us.  She had tape worms, but we've had all shots, worms, and everything else done.  Took a while, but now 'Little Bit' is used to us and is a loving little cat.  Even gets along well the the other three, and grooms them.

She's adorable! Reminds me of my own recent addition. Tabbies are just so cool.

You know what else works, they make these special pill pocket treats that work awesome. My dog is weird about taking pills usually too, but with those, no problemo.

I just ask the vet if it comes in a liquid, and it usually does.
