Zombiehorror- Great looking dogs!  I like the pic of them using a stuffed anil as a pillow.  Looks like they grew up healthy and happy!

Ignatz, my 12-year-old male Tabby, isn't faring so well. Taking him to the vet later this afternoon. He's got trouble eating, and can barely meow anymore. He growls sometimes while he's eating, so I know he's in pain. Hopefully, we can get it sorted out today.

Bernie is a lucky dog ...  :D

Count! I'm not a vet but it might be some dental problems that are causing Ignatz pain. Good luck this afternoon.

Ignatz and Bella both got out on us late last night while we were bringing in groceries. My mother and I were up til 5am getting them inside again. I didn't get to sleep til around 6am, so I rescheduled his appointment for Thurs. at 4pm.

Keep us updated Count. I also have an old male cat-he's just turned 13 in February and is feeling his age.  :(
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

I give our cats Temptations cat treats at the same time every night .. I shake the bag with it's 'cookie' time .. This works in several ways .. When the cats are outside, they normally will storm the door at 'curfew/cookie time' ..  and if I need to find them inside or outside .. I just shake the treat bag and they come running.

Being in an apartment complex near a busy street, I only take the cats out on leashes. Ignatz wears a collar, but I have to use a harness on Bella. Neither do the treats thing (I just haven't found any they like), so I can't tempt them back inside with that. Basically, it's grab the scruff and toss inside open door!

Had Ignatz's mouth examined today, and his right upper molar must come out. He's got some inflammation going on, so they're treating that first. They'll do the extraction on 5/15.

Well, as bad as tooth pain is, it could be far worse. Let us know how he does with the extraction Count.

Wishing Ignatz good luck on his gums, and coming extraction.

He gets this weird seasonal allergy thing, too, that causes granulomas in the mouth, a.k.a. a "mouse ulcer." They call it that because the mouth swells and it looks like they're carrying a mouse in their mouths. (Don't tell Mr. Greens!)

Ignatz had to have all the teeth on the upper right side of his mouth extracted today. They were hoping to just have to take the back teeth, but his gums were so inflamed that they decided, long-term, it was best to take them all on that side. He's staying the night at the vet's, and I'll pick him up tomorrow.

Count...I feel your pain.  Two of my dogs have had several, almost all of their teeth pulled......not fun.

I was a little worried Bella, my 7-month-old kitten, would pester the heck out of him tonight. The vet thought keeping him another night would be a good idea, too.
