Unknown Primate

Was going to post this in one of the Halloween threads, but remembered this old thread, so thought it was fitting.

This is our goofy Yorkshire Terrier dressed up as Frankenstein (my wife's idea).  Her full name is Josette Dupres' Stamper, but we usually call her Josie or Jo.  I, however, mostly call her (expletive deleted).

BTW, my previous dogs were Mad Max, Greta & Otto - rottweilers...  go figure.

How lovely.  I never had cats of my own, but I was a proud "Auntie" to my brother's six.  Freemont, Lili, Manny, Moe, Jack and Bighead.  I also had three lovely friends...Boris, Bela and Ananka.  Proud to say that there wasn't a purebred in the bunch except for Ananka, who was an Egyptian Mau.

All were rescue or Alleycats.

Be sure to donate to the Humane Society during May, June and July...That's Kitten season, and the time when pregnant Queen cats get dumped.

My cat, Boo. He passed away earlier this year, but i still miss him. He lived to be 19 years old.

Opera Ghost

Have not quite figured how to insert a photo within a posting yet, let alone my Avatar. I have a Labradoodle named Karloff.

My step father used to watch Monster Movie Matinee and he also owned a diary farm, which had a number of barn cats.  One was a freindly Simease tomcat.  He had a curved neck so he was named Igor.

Fester

Judd,Welcome aboard.  And thanks for reviving this thread!

Here is my pack--all purebred mutts:

The late great Flash.  Rescued from a dumpster as someone literally threw a litter away. The kids in the nearby school.  As far as we were able to tell, he was mostly Beagle/German Shepherd.  Looked like a beagle wearing a police dog costume two sizes too big.  We lost him to liver cancer two years ago.

Our second one: Katie, a Pug/Pomeranian.  she had the Pom curl in her tail until she saw how Flash wore his.  I did not know dogs could change tail styles!  She has the Pom smile, but the Pug wrinkles which gives her a happily worried look.  We rescued her from a person whose older dog tried to kill her.

Last, but not least is Sophie.  She is a Aussie Shepherd/Warner Brothers.  At least thats my story.  The Pound said mostly Aussie.  Her behavior and looks make her seem like Chuck Jones created her.  She is the only dog I have ever met that tries to communicate in full sentences.  She sounds like kind of Scooby Doo, but she has the brains of Wile E Coyote.  If she ever grows opposable thumbs, I'll be in real trouble. I keep checking the mailbox just in case she starts ordering anything from Acme.
And, yes those are blue eyes!

Don't know why, I never posted in this thread before, but here is Crumb. He is a Brindle Pug.

He was named after the Famous Underground Artist. Robert Crumb.  ;D

Here are a couple pics of friends passed on.

This is our beloved Chow Little Bear who passed on at age twelve  8-27-09.
We still really miss her. We got her as a 4 month old pup wandering the streets. She had some issues but had a great personality and was a very good watch dog.

Our cat Butterball passed on a couple months ago. He got sick REAL quick and we were not even able to let him go in peace. He convulsed on the table at the vets about 2 minutes before they could give him the pain free shot. He was a cat that due to issues no one wanted. We gave him another 8 years of life.

Another one to show you his initial 28#. We got him down to about 17#.

This is our cat Big Boy AKA Mr Doofus B. Bunnyfeet. He is basically a savant. VERY intelligent and yet just so plain dumb. He was a give away. 8 years with us he is now 11 Y.O. He's my little snuggle bug.

More to come.
