Good for you Creepy's Fan, feral cats often make the best pets because they appreciate everything you do for them so much more than a pet that is born into a great home.  I have two myself and they are the sweetest cats.  I am happy for you.  Lil bit looks precious and you are a good man for taking such good care of her.

ECHO!!!
Echo!!
echo!
LOL
I just ask the vet if it comes in a liquid, and it usually does.

I see lol... Sorry about that, I just moved to Wisconsin in the middle of nowhere for 4 months and my only way of communicating right now is through my chics phone. It sucks. Don't even get any service for the phone really either. It's a real pain navigating this phone and still being connected to the outside world. I will try my best to use my echo location next time.  ;)

Isn't that the reason people move to Wisconsin, to be in the middle of nowhere? Don't forget to pick up a box of chocolates from where Jeffrey Dahmer used to work.

Na, I moved up here with my chic who is from here to live rent free on the water and to work the season for the summer. It's really in the middle of nowhere in door county. A vacation area for wisconsinites. Florida's offseason is during the summer. Hopefully I will make some bread. And dealing with the state of cannibals and happy days, I would much rather take a trip to watch Ed Gein's musical. I honestly find it hard to believe they have a comedic musical about Ed Gein, but they do. I wonder what the victims families think about them making a profit off it?? Kinda disturbing there. Really.......But, there weather is pretty damn nice!!!

We had to put our old family dog Otis down today. He was somewhere around 15 years old and we have had him for 10 years. He had a stroke last night during the night. He had a long and happy life with us and a very very interesting one. He came from Cairo Egypt where a vacationing NYC ASPCA officer found him being terrorized by a group of teenage punks on motorcycles shooting guns off near him. He always was terrified of loud noises like thunder or gunshots, fireworks, etc and would chase motorcycles if given the chance. he ws also a rascist dog as he was afraid of any person with dark skin, but thta was because it was dark skinned kids that were tormenting him. Anyways, this vcationing ASPCA guy rescued him and brought him back to the US where my sister's boss at the time adopted him. She lived in a locl city, Troy NY, and ended up having to either get rid of him or put him down because he bit an Indian man that approached him in her car(which was stupid of the guy to do in the first place!). Naturally my sister volunteered my wife and I to take him as we are suckers for animals, and we took him in. When we got him he was bone thin and when we took him to be fixed the vet told us he had a parasitical disease of the lungs and he was lucky to still be alive! Well we got him cured and he was fine after that. he loved to swim in the pond at the old house we lived in and loved our other dog Baby we had at the time. baby ws about the same age but she became senile and we had to put her down a couple years ago. After that otis was never the same, he became moody and didn't like the other dogs we adopted, and he started becoming arthritic(he was always an extremely active dog). We had meds for his arthritis which were helping, but i guess it was just his time. We all miss him, but are sure he is happy and with Baby again now in doggy heaven(which i imagine is a big field full of squirrels to chase).
RIP old buddy You were a good boy :'(

I am very sorry to hear that Redking.  I am sorry for your loss.  It sounds though that you gave him a good life and he was very much loved.  He is a beautiful dog.  Great pictures.  It is always hard to say goodbye to our loved ones and pets are surely a part of our families.  I always wish they would have longer life spans.  Seems like such a short one for most pets.  They really are like shooting stars.

From Egypt to NYC to your heart forever, Otis sure got around!
Miss him, mourn him, and consider another rescue. There are so many that need good, loving homes!

Count....Sorry for your loss.  I lost one of my rescues in Feb. and I know it can be tough.  Hope this helps...........

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity...

That's a lovely sentiment, but it's RedKing and family that lost poor Otis, not me.

Yes, a good friend of mine just found out his 5-year-old female Alaskan Husky has stage 3 breast cancer that's spread to her lymph nodes. I'm very worried about him, because he's an Afghan War Vet with PTSD and clinical depression. He was doing good, but I'm afraid he'll go off his meds and back to the bottle.
