In all seriousness, it's not a stupid question at all... Criswell (Charles Jerron Criswell King, or Jerron King Criswell, or a dozen other debated variants) was a very well known celebrity prognosticator but only for a relatively brief time, decades ago. Other than those who watched/listened to his Predictions on TV and radio, or are fans of Eddie Wood's films, few people know who he is/was. Not sounding stupid at all.

BTW, he was pretty well known in the 1960s. Besides the Wood movies, he had a series of 'Criswell Predicts' books and a record; think male Jeane Dixon. Criswell sort of predicted JFK's assassination on the Jack Paar show, in that he said he would not be reelected because something was going to happen to him in November of 1963.

Almost all of Criswell's predicitions in Scary Monsters for 2010 have already come true.  He has a better predicting record dead than alive.
