Nan Martin 1927-2010

Character actress Nan Martin has passed away at the age of 82.  She did a great deal of tv and a number of films, but many of us will remember her best as the wealthy Mrs. Louder on the DREW CAREY SHOW. 

In her long career, which began in the 1950s, she had a few genre roles.  She played Victoria Miller in STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION  (episode: THE HAVEN)

and did a part in a TWILIGHT ZONE drama in the 1980s.  The photo below shows her with actor Barry Morse at a TZ reunion convention:

Nan was a versatile actress, wonderful at comedy AND drama.  She leaves an actor son, Zen Gesner, who had the title role in the late '90s tv series THE ADVENTURES OF SINBAD.
