These museums are so wonderful!!  I've only been to a few so far, but I would love to see the remaining wax museums in the US.  I guess they're kind of like drive-ins, few and far between. But the feeling you get in a Wax Museum when you enter the monster section gives you the chills! And it's so inspirational when you look at the displays....you wonder if you could set up something like that for Halloween....hmmm    :)

Actually, this one from Buena Park. Movieland Wax Museum went under a couple of years ago. I recall figures and sets selling for thousands on EBay.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that! I remember some one saying that they wanted to buy one of the monsters. I have a patchy memory, but I didn't realize it was in Buena Park, Cal    I was thinking it was in downtown LA or something. Is there another wax museum out there besides Madame Tusseaud's (spelling??)?

Yes, the original Hollywood Wax Museum, also on Hollywood Blvd, is due East of Madames, and the Chinese, and just on the otherside of Highland. From there, one can see the original "Fredricks of Hollywood" as well as Max Factor Museum and a new Hollywood Museum in the Max Factor buliding, behind Ripleys.

Beautiful display! Are these in your home? I guess you smile eveytime you walk past them.  :)  It would be great to have your very own comedic geniuses greet you at the door!  I used to frequent the wax museum in St. Augustine and for some reason I always imagined owning the King Henry VIII figure. His set was really ornate and he was so substantial and colorful. He was my favorite figure after Frankenstein's monster, of course. Wax museums are the best!

Ok, my new goal is to replicate that room with Frankenstein's Monster!  Using only materials found in my yard and garage, I need to get started right away!   :)    Awesome photos!

Should any UMA members be in the NY area, look me up and we'll tour it together!
