Just read on CRYPTOMUNDO.COM that Charles B. Pierce, the director of THE LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK & THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN passed away at age 71.  Two films that have always stood out in my mind and both personal favorites.  We were just talking about those movies a few days ago here on the board.

R.I.P.  Mr. Pierce

Sad news. I really enjoyed his movies.

I saw The Legend of Boggy Creek at the drive-in in Adrian, Mi. in the 1970s.  It was a sweet childhood memory I am forever thankful for! I'm gonna call my Dad and remind him of that summer night with all of us in the enormous Chevy enjoying that movie!  RIP

I just saw this news on imdb.  I especially like the first Boggy Creek movie.  I believe it was the first of its type, a Bigfoot documentary with recreation segments.  Memorable work from a memorable filmmaker.  RIP Charles B. Pierce
Beautiful moving, shifting colors!

I love, love, love the original "Legend of Boggy Creek." It's like folk art cinema.
I never get tired of it. I don't think he ever lived up to that potential again.

My music is for Phoenix. Only she can sing it. Anyone else who tries, dies.
