To avoid distortion, make your avatar pic a square and at least 100x100 pxls. Load your pic to your webspace ( http://photobucket.com/ or http://imageshack.us/ are good, if you don't have any other space) and copy the URL. URL should end in .jpg or .gif

Click on "Profile" at the top of any forum page and under "Modify Profile" click "Forum Profile Information". Check the box for "I have my own pic:" and paste the URL in the box, then go to the bottom of the page and click "Change Profile".

Hey Wolfman66. If you'd like, post the url of your avatar pic, and one of us mods will paste it for you.  :)

Who in the Forum could I e-mail a picture for my avatar?  Sorry for seeming like a prehistoric caveman, but any help would be appreciated.   :-[

Hi There Mr/Ms Mod - I was wondering why all but one of my pictures vanished in topic: "Beasts of the UMA" (message #17) - any hope of recovering those? If not maybe delete the post it looks rather silly as empty boxes with descriptions! I can always re-post it. THANKS in advance

Hello Paul. I checked the innards of your post and all the tags are correct. It must be a Flickr issue? Are all the permissions set to "public"? I would suggest checking your Flickr account to ensure your using the correct url?

I would like to publicly thank Michael Scott for my new avatar.  He worked patiently with me to put it on my profile and he deserves a big ol' salute from this new recruit. Thanks Sgt. Mike!!

I run a horror writers site, which I believe would be of great interest to all your members. However, I would like to ask you if mentioning a url in the body of forum message is okay, or does it have to confined to just the signature?

Well if YOU'RE an idiot, I'm a complete moron.  I don't see a trash bin or sent messages arena either.  I'd very much like to know where the "sent messages" folder for Personal Messages can be found (if there is such an animal).
