Los Angeles Area Threatre Screenings
« on: February 25, 2010, 11:21:00 AM »
For those of you who live in the LA area, and may not already know, our older theatres, and some of the newer chains are often running Classic and New Classic Horror films, not mention others of the non-horror genre.

I came across a nearly daily newsletter from Film Radar which I subscribe to (for free) www(dot)filmradar(dot)com and it lists showings at all of the older houses around town as well as special screenings and related events.

Just this week, at the AMC 16 in Burbank (today) there is a free screening (sponsored by Greenpeace) of the remake of "The Crazies". Also playing around town are double features of "Gremlins", "Killer Klowns From Outerspace", "Zombie Girl", "LA Vampire" to name a few. Outside of the LA Weekly free paper, these things are kind of hard to track down and keep track of. There are also listings for UCLA Film Archive screenings and film series as well as others.

They often announce free screenings of soon to be released films as well in separate bulletins.

I have often seen Gracebuster at screenings, so I'd gather he just might as many others already, be on the email list.

Just wanted to help share the news, as you all know how much different it is to see some of these films in old theatres on bigger than home theatre Screens.

Best Regards
