Tomorrow will be the sixth anniversary of the passing of Cincinnati's Horror Host, the Cool Ghoul, aka Dick VonHoene. His show Scream-In was where this monster kid spent many a Saturday night. His humor, his compassion, his warmth all made him an outstanding horror host.
Rest in peace, Cool Ghoul!!!

You ain't just whistlin' Dixie, my friend!  The Ghoul was a blessing to us monster folks in the Cinci area back then.  I can hear his Lugosi-ish laugh in my mind's ear to this day!  Scream In is fondly remembered and sadly missed!

Never had the pleasure of seeing our departed friend.........in fact I never had a horror host at all where I lived. But I've developed quite a soft spot for them of late. Rest well.
