The unforgettable "Tangina" who helped make the POLTERGEIST movies memorable from 1982 to 1988 has passed away.

Zelda Rubinstein was 76 years old--she had been in failing health recently, hospitalized since December.  Ms Rubinstein appeared in many films and also did some television work.

The news release states that a friend said:  "She was very much at peace when she finally rested... The world has definitely lost someone very special."

"I don't care what they do, so long as they don't do it in the streets and frighten the horses."   Mrs. Patrick Campbell

An interesting woman, sorry she's passed on.

She was a very kind, unique and funny lady.
She also became, nearly overnight, a modern horror and pop culture icon... no doubt about it.
God bless you Zelda! Glad to see you finally went into the light, where all are welcome.

Rest now.

My wife & I were just talking about her last night, while watching one of the many "paranormal" themed tv shows.

Not only was she an interesting actress, she was also an active human rights activist.  She was the founder of the Michael Dunn Repertory Theater, which promoted theater opportunities for little people.  And she was one of the first celebrities to promote HIV/AIDS awareness.  That was back about 1984--when it was not fashionable.  Her career took a hit, but she continued to help  HIV/AIDS causes.

Absolutely right, Fes- I forgot about that, shame on me.
