Well, although I've been frustrated with Deep Discount having this film on perpetual back order, with no eta, I just this afternoon recieved an autographed copy, after lunching with Ron Chaney.

I shall be watching it tonight!

Tell Ron I need a copy, and there's a Big Mac with his name on it.

Apologies Creeper. I had lunch with Ron yesterday, and he kept saying enterprises, but it's actually entertainment. Here is the site

Thanks Rob.  I will order it but don't know how to ask him to autograph it though.  No way of contacting him that I seen.
Long live the UMA!

Perhaps in the address information, you can notate please autograph? I've given them a heads up that these requests may come.

I'm sure he'll just jump all over that. Are you interested in a copy, though?

I just got my copy from Amazon.com. I had read the review in VideoScope, so I knew it was just "OK." It was better than I'd anticipated, and Michael R. Thomas was fantastic as Dracula! Otherwise, it was a really impressive, if flawed, effort.

I was impressed with the overall outcome as well. While the first part of the movie drags a bit, and some of the actors are up to the task a little more than others, I thought the climactic fight scene was well worth the wait, and the "tributes" sprinkled throughout the film made the overall experience a good one for classic horror fans!
Supernatural, perhaps; baloney, perhaps not.

I know there's been talk of a sequel. If Ron Chaney returns, hopefully he'll have taken some acting lessons. He's got the look for these films (reminded me an awful lot of Henry Hull), but his line delivery left much to be desired. Michael R. Thomas will be hard to replace as Dracula, but maybe they should try to find a John Carradine-type for Dracula this time. Sadly, John P. McGarr (Barlow, executive producer,) has also passed away.

Meanwhile, it'd be great if they made posters of the DVD cover front. I'd sure buy one!

I agree there was much to forgive in Ron's first performance, as I'm sure there would be for any of us acting for the first time. If there's a sequel, perhaps Ron should pattern his delivery after Henry Hull and/ or Colin Clive. It would help if his character was written to be similar to characters played by these actors.

Unless he returns as Dr. Bela Reinhardt, I'd like to see him in some other role than a monster. Maybe a Lionel Atwill-type Inspector, investigating dubious goings-on at whatever location they cook up for the next one.

That would be fun, or perhaps as a George Zucco-like undead type (like his role in Dead Men Walk). I could see Ron in an undead role, no offense intended!!  :)
