Nosferatu Project
« on: December 21, 2009, 09:09:26 AM »
The more I looked at this base & looked at the box art, I was inspired to "sink my fangs"  >:D into this one  :o . The original base was only altered in one way, that was the positioning of Nosferatu...I shifted his angle slightly cut the new slot for his foot tab & filled the old one. I made this Diorama almost entirely out of the pink foam from Home Depot  ......( the walls & stairs) & covered it with a skim coat of drywall compound..... it is made to just rest in place on the original base, I used plastic coated wire for the Window bars, the wood beam is balsa & ...I decided to use a sheet of the clear styrene & leave the blue protective film on it, to get the effect I was looking for; although I pondered painting a background for it....I think this works .....I also stuck the snake from the Aurora Witch kit on the beam for now !! - I will post new pics when I finish this; I would say it's 98% there, I have about 3 hours time into it & am pretty happy with it so far....I still have to decide wether to stagger the straight edge on the left wall & on the right side of the window ( Any thoughts/suggestions would be much appreciated !! ) , add cobwebs, lighting, touch ups  & think of something to go under the stairs possibly?.... ( sorry about the crappy pics, I'll shoot better ones; when it's finished ....I'm really going to try & get at least one decent shot of the Box art angle)   ;) Hope you like it, it's been a blast to do so far >:D

Thanks guys!!!......the tricky part for this one; will definitely be the lighting....although there's a few places to hide the LED'S .....after some experimenting; I think the only way to get close to the Box art with this....may be to hide them into the cabinet; ( because of the distance & angles required to get the proper effect ) ...... or....I might just wing it & do something else   :-\ ::) ;)

Well... I finished the window wall off, added a little cobwebbing & took a few more pics; ( some without his ascot. :P..it isn't glued on yet  ;) ) - I think I'll leave it like this for now....I haven't decided whether to light this one or not
