Today is a very sad day for the Horror Movie lovers because Paul Naschy has die, about a Cancer, with 75 years old.
In Spain Paul Naschy (Jacinto Molina Álvarez) was the most important actor and director in Horror movies, He was totally involved in Fantastic genre during all his life, and he was our Wolf Man, Waldemar Daninsky.

I know that also in US was famous. I hope that all his movies never forgotten.

Now, I will try go to the thanatorium. Tomorrow, will be the funeral, in Burgos, not in Madrid.

This is terrible.  I was hoping he would be around for many more years and many more films.  He was a unique voice in world cinema, and his work was not yet finished.

No! That's not something I wanted to hear. I loved Paul Naschy and I read his autobiography last year. He was on my short list of people I wanted meet someday, but the opportunity to meet him here in the United States was pretty rare. His movies will live on in the hearts of monster fans forever. He was like us; a fan first. He loved the Universal monsters and brought them to life again not for money or fame, but because he loved them, and as a result his films have more heart than most of what has been released since. Heaven has just become a better place.

Oh, this is terrible news.  Very sad, indeed.  He is one of my favorites of all time. I can't even collect my thoughts right now.

Una leyenda ha pasado. Descanse en paz, hombre lobo.

Unknown Primate

Shoot!  Only discovered his films within the last 12 years.  His passion for the UniMonsters is so obvious & his takes on them are unique.  Viva El Hombre Lobo!

Yes, was a pitty. Paul Naschy was the Spanish Lon Chaney, he really loved Monsters and the most important of all, he was a great man. I was in the Thatatorium before, very sad moments, and in a hours his  funeral will be in Burgos, to 250Km to Madrid.
One of his sons, Bruno, said me that at least he died while sleeping without suffering. Now we all have his legacy because Monster never die.

And his last movie coming soon, 22 in January 2010. "La Herencia Valdemar".

I am very happy that there in US all the Monster lovers remind him, thanks to all.

Sorry to hear about Mr. Naschy's passing. Growing up in southern California, I recall watching many mexican horror movies on TV, including some with him as a wolfman. I may not have understood what was said but the films were still exciting!

A great actor, and the king of his own subgenre, the spanish werewolf film.  I saw a bunch of his movies on TV back in the 70's, and discovered many more later on video.  I am very sad too.  But he leaves a great legacy.
Beautiful moving, shifting colors!

Wow that was a surprise.  Very sad news indeed.  I didn't realize he was 75.  HE always looked young.
