It's not well known, but there is a long history og Bigfoot sightings here in the Northeast. Right here in the Adirondack mountains of upstate NY where I live there are regular sightings, most famous in Whitehall NY which is about 10 miles from where I live. Here's a good article rcounting the Whitehall bigfoot activity:

I live on 86 acres of land, most of it wooded. I haven't seen anything, but I regualrly hear woodknocks and a few weeks ago at night during one of the bad snow storms we had, I was taking the dogs out (they run loose) and they headed up towards our shed barking and something banged on the shed loudly several times. The dogs ran right back to me at the house after that! I couldn't see anything bcause it was dark and snowing really hard. The next day I went up to the shed and it looked like there may have been tracks, but the snow had filled and covered everything so much they were little more than depressions in the snow. :-\ Was it Bigfoot? I don't know, but I don't know what would have pounded the shed like that.

Something similar happened last Christmas day about four in the afternoon here in Northern Ireland. (I won't go into details as I believe that such things should be left alone.)  It was turning dusk and the snow was about 8" deep what made it more interesting was it was in a cemetery. Every Christmas I make it a point to visit my relatives graves as a sign of respect, I came across a clearing of sorts that stretched about 300ft long and about 40ft  across and on each side there were a row of gravestones. From the point were I was standing which was the pathway I could see tracks leading into the snow. The tracks had three large longish toes and a back heel or pad and were about 12" long, they were one after another as if the thing was walking on two feet and this was the whole length of the clearing in a straight line. Now what you have to remember is this was Ireland and the only bears are within zoo's, I did think of dogs especially an Irish wolfhound but their paws would be two abreast. These were big prints and the funny thing was I felt unnerved not about where I was but the feeling that I was being watched. What do the other members think, by the way I'm going with a wolf type creature.

Champ and Ogopogo don't leave the witnesses to tell the tale. Tourists = Lunch to our monsters on this side of the Atlantic.

I believe in the afterlife and lots of things but as far as what I think is most likely to be real I would have to go with aliens. Simply put, I don't think it would make any sense at all that we are the only planet anywhere that supports life. In the big scheme of things I don't think the human race knows much more about what's what than we did when we thought the Earth was flat.

Anybody ever watch "In Search Of"  back in the day?

RedKing

I LOVED In Search Of as a kid-it always scared the crap out of me, but I had to tune in every week! That creepy music they used was so great! I still love it, there are alot of episodes on youtube. A dvd release is long overdue for this great series!!

I admitted that I don't like the dark on another thread but the funny thing is I used to work in a cemetery as a landscape supervisor and it is the only place were I can relax even in the dark and on my own, I can't explain it just except it for a fact. Another strange thing is that every morning all year round I always had an impression of the people who were buried there and each one was differant from old to young, I never seen anything just an overwhelming feeling. I was once stopped by a fortune teller as I crossed a street, she told me that she just had to meet me because I gave off such a bright aura it was all around me.  She was no fake because she was able to tell me things that NO one knew about my life, then she asked me for a blessing of luck! I thought that she would ask for money or something but all she did was carry on shopping.

TVhorror- I couldnt find anything on "supernatural" wolves in Ireland, except for a Werewolf sighting (I doubt he had three toes tho)
I did see that Ireland has it's own lake monster, and I did come across a sighting about a three toed sloth...

tv horror

Herr Doktor have you heard of the Pooka? It is not a wolf but a fairy that can be covered in fur or hair and walks like a man. People may laugh at the old myths and legend, I am not one of them for I have witnessed many a strange occurrence during my life.
