A cameo appearance for Brother Mortimer and Baby Spook'em in an episode of classic TV's "The Ghost & Mrs. Muir" (1968-70).

My DVDs sets of 1960s TV series, "The Ghost & Mrs. Muir", arrived - and here is the "Kooky Spooky" cameo in Episode #26, "The Music Maker". Hasbro's Brother Mortimer and Baby Spook'em finger puppets appear as the Muir children get ready for bed!

What kind of camera do you use to take those pictures? Do you use a tripod?

Custom Kooky Spookys by Ian by Ian McLean, on Flickr

Based on original sketches by "Kooky Spooky" creator, Patti Peticolas, here are Ian McLean's custom figures of Patti's "lost" designs. Made from Staedtler brand "Fimo Soft" polymer modelling compound ("Nightglow" blended with "Lemon"), they do actually glow in the dark! The figures required baking in the oven for 30 minutes each, then some paint detailing added.

Up front is "Shirley Shriek", a design that eventually morphed into the commercially-released Mama Kaskit. Shirley wears a "Fimo" skull pendant on a silver chain.

Behind her is the character I named "Cousin Cadava". He resembles David Niven and carries a fencing foil. (In preliminary sketches, he was "Gaston Ghost" and then "Daddy Cadava". Another design named "Cousin Gilghouly" evolved into the commercial line's familiar Daddy Booregard.)

Next to Cadava is "Geisha Ghost", whose preliminary kimono morphed into Grandma Macreak's nightgown. Geisha carries a Japanese fan, and is based on a traditional tattoo design.

Behind them is "General Gilghouly" with his WC Fields-inspired , bulbous nose, plus a rifle and little perched bluebird. (The first concept sketch was labelled "General Booregard", but that name passed onto the commercially-released Daddy Booregard.)

At the top is one I call "Aunty Nightshade". Before finding my own Mama Kaskit to complete my set, I had tried making one in "Fimo Soft". Now I had a spare! I decided to create a blue Fimo wig for her, based on Patti's sketches of possible accessories.
