Just took  Inception back to the big red toy box.......not for me.....too confusing, and I am seldom lost in a movie. Not really worth trying too hard to understand what was going on.....Bud

Agreed Bud........I don't go for all this funky altered reality/mind game stuff. Just give me a freaking monster already.

Personally, I liked both movies!  8)  The Last air Bender is a little "juvenile" but something the whole family can enjoy.     The key to liking "Inception" to me is simply understanding the concept of sleep-time  ??? in that, 5 minutes = 5 hours on the second level, 5 minutes on the first level = 5 days in the 3rd level, etc.!  ::)  thrhrt
The children of the night.  What music they make!

Naw, I'm wrong in saying I was confused by the movie.......I actually get what was going on, it just all swirled around too much.....we're suppose to feel for the injured Oriental.....who had the initial architect killed.....who has been shot and won't wake up but be dropped into limbo....which Leo will come save him from in his fortress where he has grown old while under guard......while hiring Leo to break into the mind vault of another guy so a large conglomerate will be broken up so that he (again the Oriental) can gain financial advantage......and that's only keeping track of the Oriental guy.....there's Leo's deterioration......his loss of family...... death of his wife......years long dream state with his deceased wife.....they grew old together......his drowning.......and on and on and on......too many levels, too many subplots and none of them that terribly interesting or smoothly connected........as I see it. I loved the guy in The Last Samurai.....not in this......

I'm with you, didn't care for Inception at all. My biggest problem was, that like most of Christopher Nolan's films, it just feels cold and sterile. I never connected with the DiCaprio character, or anyone else.

Last night I watched a documentary called "Waking Sleeping Beauty". It was about the resurgence of Disney animation in the late 80s-early 90s. Amazing success story -at one point, Disney execs were actually planning to get rid of the animation studios! Lots of footage and interviews of the folks involved, from the animators to Eisner, Katzenberg, and Roy Disney. A great film if you have any interest in Disney.

I am soooooooo not complaining. Now, if she dressed as Russ Meyer himself, then
I would have a problem. LOL!!!  ;)

The Tim Burton  "Alice in Wonderland"
I met Crispin Glover last month and decided to catch back to this one.
"Billy Jack" & "Born Losers",  got the box set at Christmas and watched the first two of the set.
My music is for Phoenix. Only she can sing it. Anyone else who tries, dies.

You're not going to convince me by quoting yet another overrated, overdone, and overhyped movie. Well, maybe if you did it in your dulcet baritone.  :D
